  6. A friend recommended we try this new place out after they went on opening night this week. Well, it was as she said - delicious. A few first week delays, but overall the food was superb. They have a daily special for kids too, a very substantial serving for them. Adult meals were smaller, sharing style ranging from 7.50-9.50. The squid was amazing - so tender. It may not be to everyones taste, but for those who do prefer great, genuine asian - it's definitely worth a visit. http://www.thebeggingbowl.co.uk/
  7. he's now on Hansler! Well a new mural anyway. Awesome.
  8. I notice a mural on Hansler today. Opposite LL carpets and near Property inn's wall - It's fab!!!! Go Stik.
  9. Hi, I just wanted to add to this thread, as I have just had RGR (Raydel) booked in over this last month to do wallpapering, painting and tiling. I'm really pleased with the high standard of work and would not hesitate in recommending his work. I found Raydel to be a great communicator (really rare with tradespeople these days!!). Honest and trustworthy (I left him with keys and he safely locked up). He also went about his work in a highly respectable manner. (Always tidied his things up and was very polite and prompt). Thanks Raydel, you are ace and our home looks wonderful. K&K (East Dulwich).

I was out enjoying our wonderful(and grassy side)Goose Green today with two gorgeous 4 year olds. Ahhh it's great to be alive when the sun is shining ;)))
  13. Hey, some good news on the fox-stealing-shoe-front. Two doors down from us found a huge mound of shoes at the end of their garden this week. Not only were all of our boots there, but several hoards from our other neighbours. All shoes were pretty much chewed up around the back heels, except the much loved pair from Santa! *Hoooreyyy* (just a small nip, but nothing a bit of hand repair won't fix). My son was delighted to be reunited with them. A lesson to be learned - NEVER LEAVE YOUR SHOES OUT OVERNIGHT!!! kels :))
  14. Fazer71! Where was that picture of the shoes taken???? I want to go and see if the boots have surfaced???? Lol
  15. Wow! Thanks for all your replies. My hubby now believes me!!! He thought I was making it up. And I thought I was, until this morning when the boots that were popped outside for cleaning, were not be seen the following morning! Damn that Mr Fox! He's got high standards when it comes to "chewy's"
  16. I'm not going mad, believe me! We have lost 2 pairs of mud-caked football boots from our back garden. I believe it is a fox, as I have picked up several times, my husbands work boots in the morning (from the middle of the back garden) and after he had neatly left them on the back deck. We lost one pair of football boots and then today another went. If anyone happens to find 2 random pairs of football boots (potentially half chewed in their gardens, pleases let me know). I have one very unhappy 7 year old. One pair were a Christmas present. Description: Size 1 Nike mercurial (flouro yellow/ green) Size 1 Addidas purple and orange in colour (both last seen on our back deck).
  17. I feel a tad better knowing I'm not the only one struck down with this bug. It's the second wave for me, this time, symptoms as Susierose described - started with bad stomache, heady and cough (nearly lost my voice), weeping eyes (stuck together in the morn) and really tired & feisty gut. I can't wait to feel normal again. My hubby has been Ace!! I need another go at Christmas!!! :(
  18. Bastards! I can't believe they've bricked Palmerston, I'd fight to defend that place!!! You know which red establishment won't be touched! ?1 frozen dinners!!!
  19. How did it happen, do you know? So sorry to hear and glad you are ok!
  20. I hope it's nothing too serious! Car style flashing lights, then ambulance, the seldoc. 3 kinds of ambulances??? Seems strange.
  21. i'm not sure this forum is representative. Can you not take a vote or consultation in a broader more representative context?
  22. OMG? ????? Monmouth, did you say Monmouth? I live a stone's throw from Jacks and regularly trek over to London bridge to stand in that mile long queue to get my MM fix. What time do you open in the mornings. :)))
  23. Something to lighten the mood. P68 today's supp - for those who haven't already read it. Franklins picked up a runner up award for best Ethical restaurant for this years Observer Food Monthly awards. If you haven't been already, I suggest you go. Even if it's for their budget 2 course lunch. I suspect Jay Rayner is a regular diner, given he lives a stone throw from LL. Congratulations to Franklins! p.s love the apple press on the lane yesterday. :))
  24. Senor Chevalier - you can get a pretty good authentic flat white from the Blue Mountain Cafe (on North Cross road, ED). I was very pleased to see it on the menu not so long ago! And the staff were very familiar with the difference between a latte, Americano and the flat white. All this coffee talk also put my high alert and whilst getting some lunch at Eat today (Southbank) I notice they too do a flat white. Kels
  25. or lollies from where I come from.... (somewhere down under).
