well, you pay for what you got!! Did check before hand where they work? did you visit there workshop? did you see them making any door?? That's the difference, before you buy check there work! There is a few Joiners only in se22, Dulwich area, one of them is Crown Joinery; Also a new front door never set on a old/existing frame. New Door....New Frame. Always give the work to the experts not this cowboys or people with no knowledge. sorry for your bad experience.
