  1. I've had my surfboard stolen from outside my flat on Fenwick Road. I'd left it outside the front door as have been moving some things around, thought it would be safe (as in, who on earth would want to steal a 7ft surfboard, in London) but apparently not. Its in a blue cover, its bright yellow and had a piece of music manuscript printed on it. I had it custom made and it means a lot to me. If whoever nicked it can just put it back where they found it I'd be very grateful.
  2. I left my pair of tortoise shell Wayfarer Ray Bans on the Rye on Friday afternoon. I was sitting near the cafe in the grass. If anybody found them I would be hugely appreciative if they would let me know!!
  3. Hi all, My seal point Siamese cat has gone missing from our home on Fenwick Road. He is about 10 months old so still fairly small and has one eye so is easy to identify! He's ridiculously friendly, quite chatty... will eat anything. If you see him I would be hugely grateful if you could lure him in with some food and I will come and collect him ASAP!
  4. It's quite possible that nobody cares about this except for me, but as a dog owner I'd find it really useful to know where is and isn't dog friendly in East Dulwich and Peckham Rye. I went past the snazzy new Cafe G on my dog walk today in the hope of a hot takeaway coffee, but was turned away due to my furry companion. It's one of many walks of shame that I've had to do out of cafes and pubs as a result of not knowing what the rules are. The definite dog friendies that I know of are: Aneto's, Boulangerie Jade, Viva, Petit Pou and Bluebrick. Places that need clarification: Blackbird, Clockhouse, Andersons. (Blackbird is the most indecisive - I've been there numerous times with my dog without trouble but on 2 recent occasions have been asked to leave). Please share your knowledge, dog owners of ED! Winter is rolling in - takeaway coffees are soon to become of utmost importance :D
  5. Louisa - perhaps just stop looking at this thread if it bugs you? Tootsmonkey's posts aren't keeping people awake at night - the noisy dog is. I'm sure if Toots could solve the irritation by simply not clicking on this thread, they'd probably do that.
  6. A magic remedy for weak bees is sugar dissolved in water. Put the mixture on a spoon and leave it near the bee - it gives them an energy boost apparently! http://www.rspb.org.uk/news/details.aspx?id=tcm:9-224256
  7. I also recommend Richard. Lovely guy, very reasonable and efficient. He did the job in half a day (other electricians said about 2/3 days!) and even advised me of a cheaper and easier solution to one of my problems when he could have charged me a hefty amount to do it himself. Honest, trustworthy guy.
