  1. Found at the gate of Dulwich Park / Fireman's alley on Sunday 23rd July.
  2. Polished on North Cross road. They use a needle and I have had two good experiences there.
  3. As I already said consideration works both ways. Yes you should teach your kids to be considerate but kids making some noise is entirely natural. I am out of this conversation because it's getting ridiculous but if you live in a build up area then other people's noise is going to happen at all times of night and day.
  4. No not sod those who work shifts but consideration works in all directions. You can't switch a Baby's volume off until midday. People make noise at all times of day and night and we live in a built up area where you hear it. It's fair to ask for consideration but this request was about editing volume until midday. I think that is unrealistic - why that is now about a stereotypical middle class life is not the issue.
  5. Sorry so you want children to be quiet until midday so you can rest? I'm sorry you've been unwell but that is ridiculous. Some people like to get up early and start their day. Others like to lie in. If you are someone who can sleep past 7 or 8am (unusual) then you need to find a way to manage that without expecting others to be quiet until midday!
  6. Never mind the noise. The amount of rubbish left there is a DISGRACE. Lots of people are using it and that is great but please please please take your rubbish home.
  7. They also do this training in Dulwich Park. They do adults and children's cycling courses and they are free for Southwark residents. Lots of courses for kids in school holidays....
  8. Amanda did my hair and make up for my wedding and she is BRILLIANT. Totally unflappable under pressure and able to be flexible until you find the right look! She is very good at the natural look and I didn't feel like I was over 'done' at all. Amanda will listen to your ideas and then add to them. Give her a try - you won't regret it...

  10. YEs there is a big recycling bin behind the cafe totally out of sight. I am suggesting that some recycling bins next to the other bins would help.
  11. I have got a reusable coffee cup and never buy take away cups. My point is that hundreds of cans and plastic bottles are heading straight for landfill. If they had recycling bins in the park then this would really help. If you care about recycling then you could help by contacting Southwark.
  12. Dulwich Park cafe sells take away teas and coffees in throw away cups, canned drinks and plastic bottles. Today was sunny and the park cafe was as usual absolutely packed with customers buying food and drink. There are 6 bins outside the cafe and none of these are recycling bins. I asked the cafe staff and was told that Southwark Council are responsible for the bins and not the cafe. Currently a HUGE amount of recyclable waste is going to landfill. This problem is not exclusive to Dulwich Park and I think Southwark need to step up and put more recycling facilities into their parks in general. I am going to contact Southwark council and request recycling bins. I wanted to ask others to do the same as this is a shocking situation and one that would be easy to amend.
  13. Google the Naked Larder in Herne Hill. They are all about package free shopping.
