  2. Do you want to get involved ? Here at the Copleston Centre every Wednesday morning we offer different kinds of therapies for vulnerable people in our local community. We would like to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering at Copleston. Improve and practise your skills in your chosen holistic therapy Whether it be massage/reflexology/aromatherapy Can you contribute 2/3 hours of time every Wednesday morning from 10am to 1pm ? Here at the Copleston centre every Wednesday morning we offer different kinds of therapies i.e.(Reflexology-Massage-Reiki) between the hours of 11am-1pm, for vulnerable people in our local community. These therapies are very much appreciated by our users. We are looking for someone who is trained in Massage and who may not have worked in this profession for a while, but would like to revive their skills and join our team. Copleston Mix 10 Feb 2018 7pm Copleston Centre Copleston Road, Peckham SE15 4AN www.coplestoncentre.org.uk Sean O'Hagan (High Llamas) is curating an evening of music, film, stories and magic as a fundraiser for the Copleston Centre. The Copleston Centre is a self-funded community centre offering support to homeless and vulnerable people in the area. We intend to provide a thoroughly good night and raise awareness of the Centre?s work. Sean O'Hagan ( High Llamas ) will play a short solo set. Ali Craig BBC foley artist, will entertain with stories, sound demonstrations and songs as the band Ali, Mary and Mike John McClean will provide a short blues set. Trey Qua mixes sweet acoustic tunes and human beatbox. David Don't aka The Delusionist will thrill us with close up magic. Penny Metal and the evening closes with Penny Metal DJing extraordinary Eastern European music. Ethiopian Kitchen Authentic Ethiopian food, meat /veggie/vegan made on site. Bar?.of course Cinema Room There will be a small cinema room screening a program of short films from local film makers. ...there may be more. Donations at the door.

Here at the Copleston Centre we are preparing for our annual Gift of Christmas event, where we serve a full Christmas dinner and an evening of festive fun to vulnerable or isolated local residents. We are currently fundraising for the event and looking for volunteers to help ensure that everything runs smoothly.   8. We are looking for volunteers to help out at our weekly shared reading group at the Copleston Centre which is held on Wednesday mornings from 10.30 - 12.00. The main purpose of the role is to help with setting up for the session, welcoming people, befriending them, making teas and helping to clear up at the end of the session.   9. As of April 1st the Copleston Centre will have many most weekday and Saturday mornings available to hirers. Ideal for group exercise classes, rehearsals, auditions, pop ups and community meetings. Reduced rates available for new users.   10. We're currently seeking a caretaker and handyman/woman. Ideally the same person. Caretaking duties would consist of nightly checks of our Community Centre, including weekends. Handyman/woman duties range from weeding, to fixing door handles, changing light bulbs and replacing plug fuses. Must be available to come in some weekdays to review maintenance issues with staff.   13. The Copleston Centre will be throwing a Christmas lunch for its staff and volunteers on the 17/12/15 at 1pm. Unfortunately our go to chef has had to pull out of the event and we were wondering if anyone would be able to help us out? We can't offer much in the way of payment as we are a small charity. If you're able to offer your services or can suggest someone to us we'd be most grateful!

  15. We're starting to make some headway with our plans for our annual 'Gift of Christmas' event here at the Copleston Centre. On the 17/12/15 we'll be offering a full Christmas dinner (with all the trimmings) to vulnerable local residents, including people who may be isolated, elderly, refugees or asylum seekers and whom otherwise would be facing a lonely Christmas. We'd love for a musician, a group or an entertainer to provide our guests with some seasonal cheer. We'd be most grateful for your recommendations!
  16. Hope you are all enjoying the summer! Just wanted to invite you to the Copleston Centre ?Taster Day? on Saturday August 15th. The afternoon will be filled with: - taster sessions from massage therapists, and gentle exercise instructors - demonstrations from the Dulwich Art Group and Boxercise - information about the various groups and projects that run within the centre - refreshments from our cookery group We would love for you to be a part of this celebration, which will be running from 2-5pm- hope to see you there!
  17. We have recently used Anton (anton0807 ) to help us with clearing some rubbish from our centre! Very polite and lovely gentleman. Highly recommend and we will defiantly use again in the future
  18. We have some small nursery toilets that need dumping. If anyone is willing to pick them up and take them to a dump for us we'd be most grateful and happy pay a small fee!

  20. We're a local community centre that depends greatly on the voluntary support that we get from the community (and further afield). We are currently looking for someone to come in and volunteer for a few hours a week to help our administrative staff. Ideally we are looking for someone with admin experience. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience in teaching cooking (specifically, healthy eating) and that has had some experience of working within mental health.
