  1. Still for sale. Just reduced price. It really is like brand new. Would be a great bike for spring and summer.
  2. For sale - £300. Hoy Bonaly 26” bike in yellow - disc brake version. This bike is £560 brand new and this one has been ridden only a handful of times. It literally looks like it is fresh out of the shop, so a big saving at this price. Same as this one: https://www.cyclesprog.co.uk/bike/hoy-bonaly-26/
  3. My lovely Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio was stolen from Dunstans Road on Monday night this week. It is a very distinctive car in red and there are not many of them around. Thieves will often park the car up in the local area to check if it has a tracker and then come back for it. If you see it parked anywhere in the local area, please could you let me know. The registration is WPH 7Y. Many thanks.
  4. I would definitely recommend Norwood Roofing. I emailed David on a Friday afternoon and he called me back within about 15 minutes and within the hour he was making his way up unto our to inspect our fibreglass roof. The following Wednesday the scaffolding went up and the work was completed on the Thursday / Friday just in time for this lovely bank holiday rain we?re experiencing. On the Sunday morning over the bank holiday, I realised that the missing slate on our extension hadn?t been replaced as we had spoken about. I dropped David a message and literally an hour later and beyond the call of duty, he turned up and replaced the missing slate. Relieved to have the roof watertight and David and the team did a great job. Don?t hesitate to give them a call.
  5. Just wanted to let people know that items were stolen from my car overnight in Dunstans Road including a wallet, prescription sunglasses and other items. I?ve also seen other emptied bags on walls along the road today which may be from other cars being targeted. Be vigilant and if you happen to come across some Prescription Rayban sunglasses that are of no-use to anyone except me, please let me know. Thanks.
  6. To add some balance, we are in the final weeks (hopefully) of a large project that we used Design Squared for. Side return and rear extension, new ground floor layout, lowering of ceilings on first floor, refurbishment of first floor, new loft level and outside landscaping. We have used Design Squared for the design, planning application, party wall agreement, detailed construction package and JCT contract preparation. Only each individual can make a judgement on what they feel is good value, but for us, the priority was working with a team of people that we liked, trusted and produced a high quality of work. Design Squared were personally recommended to us by someone who had a very positive experience with them and we have been very happy with all stages of the process. They produced countless designs to meet our requirements, particularly when our planning was initially refused. The construction package also allowed us to make sure that the tenders we received from the builders were competitive and comparable and we have been able to project manage the whole build ourselves due to the thoroughness of our plans and schedule of works. In terms of saving costs, we've found that by using the expertise of Design Squared, our builders and a lot of internet searching, we've managed to trim a good amount of the construction costs out. All in all, a good experience and a team we have enjoyed working with.
  7. We are. We are in the flats on the junction of Landcroft Road & Pellatt Road. A really frustrating theft too as the prescription glasses are no use to anyone, but expensive to replace. Be vigilant!
  8. Our car was also broken into on Friday night on the corner of Landcroft Road and Pellatt Road. We thought it was possible left unlocked, but possible some other clever way used to get into it. Thankfully there was no damage, just some prescription sunglasses and our sat nav gone. Shame they didn't take the bag from the boot that was destined for the charity shop!
