  1. Found near junction of Barry Road and Peckham Rye. If you've lost your RBS debit card please PM me with your details so that I can return it. Thanks.
  2. Hi - I had a blood test there last week. However, it was really busy (the nurse thought maybe because of the Easter holidays). I turned up at 7.30am (when the tests start) and would have had to wait at least an hour and half. I went again the following day at 1pm and still had an hour's wait because of the amount of people in the queue. The nurse suggested the best time to turn up is around 9am when the early queue has subsided.
  3. I've noticed about 10 vans parked on roads in the area today, the trailer has been attached to another van which is taxed. It's now parked on double yellow lines, so I can only hope for one of the Southwark parking camera cars to spot it. When I asked if the vehicles belonged to the company earlier this week, the manager mentioned to me that he pays ?3,000 a yr in business taxes and feels that this gives him the right to park on the roads in the area. Maybe a letter from the residents copied to the council is the way to go. Especially if it worked last time. Thanks for all the advice.
  4. Well, the latest is on a trailer and neither the van nor the trailer display tax discs. The van is also being used as a rubbish tip! Re the operating licence - depressing that the council might give a licence to a company leaving clapped out and rusty campervans on a residential road. Maybe I'll check into it... And I feel for you southside73 - that must be really frustrating!
  5. Looking for a bit of advice really... I live on a small residential road near Peckham Rye. A local business has been leaving old, rusty campervans parked on our street for days on end. Takes up parking spaces for people (like me!) who live on our road, plus bit of an eyesore. Not that our street's won prizes for being the prettiest or anything. I realise that it's a public street, and I wouldn't want residential parking permits, but is there anything that the council can do? Or do I just have to put up with it (as I was told by the manager of the company earlier today). Thanks.
  6. So glad to hear that it's not only me. I live in Tyrrell Rd and since beginning of December I've noticed that quite a bit of post doesn't seem to arrive. I've had to report at least 4 DVDs from Lovefilm that didn't turn up and if I think about it I know there were a few Christmas cards and monthly statements that didn't arrive either. And I only received post on 2 days last week and yet I'm expecting 2 or 3 bits of regular mail. I was putting it down to backlog from postal strikes, Christmas, weather etc but am now realising that there's something more suspect. Am about to use the Royal Mail link to complain and can only hope that if enough of us complain they will do something.
