  1. Carifit baby carrier / sling - bought in October last year from John Lewis. We own two carifit carriers - this one was bought as a backup to leave in my husband’s size to avoid wasting seconds and stress in moments of proper meltdown with my colicky baby. He’s 13 months now so we’re past that stage! I tried lots of carriers (including artipoppe which I found uncomfortable although it looked good) and this is by far and away the comfiest and easiest, I have worn my one for many, many hours. It’s supposed to be “designed to make your baby feel lighter” and I think it does. Great carrier for any size baby (3.2kg-20kg) - ours was / is big but a friend of ours has it too for their tiny one too. I found with other carriers my baby’s head slipped worryingly far in when he was a newborn but this one fits nice and snug. Comes with box and unactivated 12 month carifit fitness app subscription.
  2. Hi - we have a joie cheer playpen / travel cot like this one - https://www.boots.com/joie-cheer-playpen-little-explorer-10263985?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19973634862&gbraid=0AAAAA-AdmwR-UbBoIcmXlGcSUK7zq4xA6 - as new condition as we only used it for a few weeks and reluctantly decided it’s too big for our space. It’s lovely! Cost £85, looking for £30 now to get rid, pickup near Gipsy Hill station. It’s in its box.
  3. As new Tutti Bambini Jonah rocking chair as in the below link. For some reason the baby never got on with being rocked in it so it has just been in the corner of the nursery unsat on except by cuddly toys! £130 - can send pics if you are interested. https://www.tuttibambini.com/products/jonah-rocking-chair-and-foot-stool-pebble
  4. I’d add my recommendation here for Greg, he fixed what turned out to be a simple issue for us, but turned up and did it the same hour as I rang which was so important to me. With good humour too!
  5. I'd like to add a recommendation for Dave to this thread. Dave came to look/quote at very short notice when we were worried that we had a damp issue we'd need to fix before a new kitchen was installed. He was honest and straightforward - telling us that there actually wasn't a damp issue, how to sort out the mould we could see easily ourselves, and avoiding us unnecessary expense. Much appreciated.
  6. Steve and Nichola from Back to Wood have just left our house after spending the week sanding and finishing four of our rooms, and I wanted to leave a delighted review and recommendation! Back to Wood are professional and they take pride in their work. When they arrived our floors were a right state (original 1895 victorian house - never been done). Back to Wood took up the old carpet and grippers and did necessary repairs carefully and thoughtfully (for example sourcing matching old floorboards to replace ones that wouldn't match when done). The finished floors look absolutely awesome, we couldn't be happier. Also, we work from home, and they kept disruption to a minimum by sealing themselves and any dust in the room they were focusing on and letting us know when the noisiest parts would be so we could work around it. It actually was significantly less disruptive than I feared. The cost was really reasonable. All in all really lovely people who have done a really great job. Attached before and after photos of one of the rooms so you can see. Contact email [email protected] and mobile 07949 411650.
  7. Joseph and his team have just picked up, delivered and constructed a (very heavy) table for us. Really pleased. Nothing a bother for them and very reasonable price. We also had Joseph and his team help us with our house move a couple of weeks ago, and he managed to fit all of our one bedroom flat in his van, which meant only one trip and so again very reasonable price. Good, clear and easy communication. Recommended if you want a stress free time in moving anything!
  8. Very excitingly just saw a red kite (the bird that is!) over our house (we?re just off Cheltenham Road near the rye). Beautiful day for it too!
