I went to the Porchester Halls in Bayswater a few weeks back and it was ?35 for the day which included a scrub. It's ?28 for the day without the scrub. There is a huge chill out space with loungers and magazines and food to order which is really cheap. There are several steam rooms, a series of hot rooms and plunge pools. I wouldn't call it high end luxury as its council run but it felt like the real deal ( like I was in Morrocco!) I can't really see the allure of a place that only let's you stay for an hour or so and I certainly wouldn't be paying ?90 for the privilege of doing so!

I will certainly use Austins Garage from now on and thanks Peachy and Mason for the recommendation. I felt completely duped by Croxted Motors at the time. There is no record on my mobile that they tried to phone and I checked they had the right number. I want people to know on the forum what con artists they are as I've started to read other forums with the same stories about them. I will definitely be contacting the trading standards organisation.

Had my car MOT'd there recently and they did the repairs to pass the car but also a whole other bunch of stuff that was 'recommended'. Despite having my phone number they didn't check this additional work with me first. ?563. They claim to have tried to phone me but couldn't get hold of me. I've since learnt from a few people that they do this regularly and invent a lot of 'necessary' MOT repairs that are in fact false. They might be just doing this to women but I will AVOID these cowboys from now on!

The laundrette at the top end of Lordship Lane is brilliant - next to the butchers William Rose. Fast, efficient and friendly - they take such care to fold things so carefully.

Try Alan 07722 305757 of "All Locked Out". He put a new lock on my front door - turned up promptly at short notice with spare keys and did the job super quick. Was efficient and friendly I'd definitely use him again..

I live in Tulse Hill - be very very VERY thankful you do not have residents parking. That'll be ?115 a year please and you still won't be able to park anywhere near your house. Resident parking will kill the shopping area. Be grateful you have so many facilities people want to use!! Rach
