Hi, This is more of a Herne Hill thing than an East Dulwich thing but I know many Herne Hillers are active on here. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on Effra nursery? We looked round it with a view to sending our 2 year old there when he's 3. I really liked it but it felt big and a bit chaotic - and I wondered if that would be an issue for a slightly shy boy. H and M are cut for cloth. Their jogging bottoms, leggings and jeans go down a treat. Or just size up when buying from places that aren't cut for cloth? Frugi are great but expensive. Some of Tescos stuff is good too.

I was very recently threatened with libel action for stating the facts about a situation where I was let down by a tradesman. Sadly my nerve gave out and I agreed to have the posts deleted but in hindsight I wish I hadn't, as I had only stated the truth and I think people deserve to get a fair picture. I would say that as long as your comments are true and fair then you should have no fear of speaking out.

Just to add that Steve and Nicola recently sanded our living room, dining room and hallway. They were accommodating to our random dates and also agreed at short notice to sand the hallway when we realised we ought to do it at the same time as the rest. They were very professional and did a great job, and tidied up very well after themselves. And they got on well with our cat... Jane

Just to add to the above. I've now spoken to Daniel and he's explained that he's been under a lot of pressure this week with two people off sick. I'm sure that when he carries out the work, he does it to a good standard, judging by other reviews on here. Daniel assures me that this was an isolated incident and in future I'm sure he will be in contact with his customers in good time if things have to change at short notice. Jane

Hello, I've been let down by the decorators who were supposed to paint my two downstairs rooms this week. Can anyone recommend someone, or are there any decorators out there who are free as soon as possible please? Everything is under dustsheets, we have the paint here ready to go. I would like to very much not recommend Daniel. He was booked to decorate my downstairs rooms this week but didn't turn up on Monday and despite me leaving him a message, I had to call him a second time several hours after he didn't turn up, to find out what was going on. He said two of his painters were sick, which is fine of course but the fact that he didn't communicate with me is annoying. He then said they'd be here yesterday at 8am and they again didn't turn up and I've had no communication from Daniel at all about it. He appears to have vanished completely. I have my entire living area packed up and covered with dustsheets, ready to be decorated, and no chance of it being painted for a long time now until I find someone more reliable and trustworthy. I feel a bit petty putting this on here but I think people need to know that his view of customer relations leaves a lot to be desired. I've not had a call to apologise or explain after two days, which is absolutely not the way to run a business. Jane

Hi, Would you be able to PM me the details of the painter you used after installation? We have just had a quote from F and E for windows and I'm not sure what to do about painting them. I also think that their quote for painting is high. But we had some installed a couple of years ago without painting prior to installation and it was a bit of a faff to get them done after, so was hoping to get them painted beforehand this time.
