I like reading about celebs in ED, and Contribute when I can. Lighten up love, we're only having abit of fun, if you think discussing celebs is 'shallow', then why did you click on this blatantly (in your mind) shallow thread?

He`s a little old man with a beard, he must be homeless, he`s out in all weathers.

At the beginning of the year I used to see him outside King`s, it was really early in the morning and freezing, he looked like he had been there all night, then he disappeared. I was surprised to see him outside Cafe Nero.

When I was on my liquid diet I felt great, had plenty of energy, loved my smoothies and all the different soups I made, but I became obsessed with watching cookery programmes, and wanting to eat things I could`nt, it was maddening to think that life would never be the same again, but several months on I got used to it. I share my food with the people I am out with, and am not afraid to leave food on my plate, and I can still have a few glasses of wine here and there. It took me ages to pluck up the courage to go out for a meal.

Does anyone know whats happening with the pre-fab up the hill, its been empty for sometime now,it did have metal panels on the windows, then they were replaced with plywood? Did somebody try to steel them for scrap metal, also is the council waiting for all the pre-fabs to become vacant so they can sell the land for redevelopement?

Travel London have just taken over the route from Central, the new buses are more environmentally friendly.

An M & S lorry was backing into side road, and a no. 40 bus decided to try and squeeze past, everthing was back to normal an hour after.

Where have you been? In the wilds of Scotland with Dougal, bus drivers do that all the time. I don`t agree with unscheduled stops unless its for an emergency (toilet break). Maybe Angry Nigel has a bladder problem, I know if I want to go to the toilet and can`t find one , I get pretty annoyed.

I spoke to my mum but her memory is`nt that great, she does`nt remember your family, but she was sad to hear about Dr. Crane. Do you remember the Nutland family, Susan Nutland went to St. Peters she had long light brown hair and was rather tubby, so we could have played together, I remember one of the older boys making a little cart decorated with beer bottle caps and trying to charge a penny to pull you up and down the street, I was most upset when my mum refused to give me a penny I got my ride in the end.

Yes I remember Dr. Dyson,another good doctor, we were lucky in Faraday St, I lived at number 43, we had the top flat and my grand parents lived below. I went to Michael Faraday School, from 1963 to 1966, then moved near Old Kent Rd and went to Surrey Square School. What number did you live at?

I used to live in Faraday St until it was demolished, Dr. Crane was my doctor for years. He was a very good doctor, never got fobbed off, and I never came out thinking that was a waste of time. Its very sad news, my mother who is 83 will be upset when I tell her.

My partner is a bus driver, I pointed out your post to him, he spoke to a few bus drivers and controllers for Arriva and Central, the out come is you can not take a bike, chest of draws, bed etc.. any oversized item on a bus, what ever the circumstances.

How can you call drivers behaviour horrendous, you don`t take bikes on buses, he`s doing his job properly, if he lets a bike on and a drunk gets on and falls over it, he`s the one that going to get sued, he is responsible for health and safety of his passengers.

Lorraine Chase in Sainsburys dog Kennel Hill, is she a resident of Dulwich? I also saw her power walking round the Elephant and Castle a couple of months ago.

There was another accident there a few months ago, even if there was a crossing there people are to lazy to walk to a safe place to cross, also I am amazed the amount of people that run from the other side of the road infront of buses because they missed them.

The 176 is no worse than any other bus, its a very long route, and with all the traffic and road works in central London and Kirkdale, the bus is not always going to get to its destination. It will be finishing at Tottenham Court rd soon, when they start demolishing the Astoria.
