Goose Green councillors - how can we help?
janepinkcat replied to jamesmcash's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Dear councillor McCash Could there be any changes to the LTNs or school streets, by adjusting the timing by perhaps 30 minutes? It would help local people get to and from their homes by finishing at 5.30 instead of 6pm? Also by not operating during the school holidays? -
Brockwell Park closed thanks to selfish idiots

I too am very concerned about the Tree Amigos invasion of Goose Green, it's a small enough space as it is without cluttering up half of it. Also I believe they may be sleeping on the site in a mobile home. My main concern, however, is for the local traders, George, the guy from the flower shop at Goose Green, also sells from outside the EDT, pays ?500 for the extra pitch as does the lady outside the Cherry Tree, both of whom have been severely hit by the Tree Amigos, they weren't informed or consulted and apparently neither were the residents. It seems the "events team" at southwark approved it, but to call their site a "Grotto" is a gross overstatement. Very poor -
Can't believe no one has mentioned Emily's Plaice at 3 North Cross road, 020 8299 4840. They do lovely fish and chips, we phone ahead about 10 minutes before we collect and it's all freshly cooked and delicious. Owner is lovely too π

Good luck and also love the planting πΈπΊπ· -
As a resident who can very rarely park in my own street I strongly support the east dulwich CPZ, it's ludicrous that we sometimes have to constantly circle the local area to get parked ten minutes from home. It will only get worse for those of us near to the new health centre and who are near to east dulwich station. I'm seriously considering boycotting local shops who are supporting the ridiculous 'save our high street' petition.

Just wanted to let people know that over the last two months, we have had an actual break in and two attempted breaks in - through the front door - and one actual car theft and three attempted car break ins at different house numbers numbers and cars have been randomly parked. Tell Grove is a very small street, there are only 27 houses, so it seems disproportionate to have this much criminal activity.

They are very good and will do their best to work to your schedule but it is better to give them a little extra time if you can

The point of my post was to try and warn parents and dog owners, I'm confounded by the crap that's been written in response
