  1. Also wort thinking about donating to local schools
  2. Kix on 57 north Cross road, very good. They also do a really great Sunday roast. Spinach also very good
  3. Dear councillor McCash Could there be any changes to the LTNs or school streets, by adjusting the timing by perhaps 30 minutes? It would help local people get to and from their homes by finishing at 5.30 instead of 6pm? Also by not operating during the school holidays?
  4. Brockwell Park closed thanks to selfish idiots
  5. I too am very concerned about the Tree Amigos invasion of Goose Green, it's a small enough space as it is without cluttering up half of it. Also I believe they may be sleeping on the site in a mobile home. My main concern, however, is for the local traders, George, the guy from the flower shop at Goose Green, also sells from outside the EDT, pays ?500 for the extra pitch as does the lady outside the Cherry Tree, both of whom have been severely hit by the Tree Amigos, they weren't informed or consulted and apparently neither were the residents. It seems the "events team" at southwark approved it, but to call their site a "Grotto" is a gross overstatement. Very poor
  6. Can't believe no one has mentioned Emily's Plaice at 3 North Cross road, 020 8299 4840. They do lovely fish and chips, we phone ahead about 10 minutes before we collect and it's all freshly cooked and delicious. Owner is lovely too 👍
  7. Good luck and also love the planting 🌸🌺🌷
  8. As a resident who can very rarely park in my own street I strongly support the east dulwich CPZ, it's ludicrous that we sometimes have to constantly circle the local area to get parked ten minutes from home. It will only get worse for those of us near to the new health centre and who are near to east dulwich station. I'm seriously considering boycotting local shops who are supporting the ridiculous 'save our high street' petition.
  9. I don't think it unreasonable to want to park outside my house, it would however be a miracle, but I do think it's unreasonable to constantly have to park two streets away. Loading and unloading baby and shopping is tricky at the best of times without having to go several streets.. bring on the CPZ
  10. Just wanted to let people know that over the last two months, we have had an actual break in and two attempted breaks in - through the front door - and one actual car theft and three attempted car break ins at different house numbers numbers and cars have been randomly parked. Tell Grove is a very small street, there are only 27 houses, so it seems disproportionate to have this much criminal activity.
  11. They are very good and will do their best to work to your schedule but it is better to give them a little extra time if you can
  12. The point of my post was to try and warn parents and dog owners, I'm confounded by the crap that's been written in response
  13. Yes they were also on Tell Grove last week, two women both wearing headscarves with shopping trolleys
  14. Just to let people know there was a large rat on Goose Green yesterday morning - apologies for late post, it shot out of the long grass along the East Dulwich Road side. I've written to new councillor McAsh hoping for some action
  15. YES I do want a CPZ. We live on Tell Grove and are constantly forced to park streets away from our house due to commuters leaving their cars all day, while they go to east Dulwich station, or drop kids at nursery then go to work. We're only asking for a two hour CPZ during the day, people can still park if they need to for shops etc, although if you're local you could walk.
  16. Hi Gemma I have some curtains that need adjusting to fit new house windows, do you do alterations? Also do you have someone who puts up fittings? Thanks Jane
  17. Just adding a belated recommendation to the list for Barney Rubble, he sorted a problem for me last year, we never met and we took each other on trust and he was brilliant. Thank you (lady in Tell Grove)
  18. We got John's number via EDF and we have not been disappointed. So far he has done four bedrooms and is halfway through a lounge before he starts on kitchen next. He's pleasant to have around, helpful, (dog and cat sitting) and his work is excellent, also happy to finish job rather than knocking off at four or five.
  19. Just wanted to recommend a fantastic floor sander, Errol, he and richard have been working very hard all week, really courteous, fast and surprisingly clean. A lot of floors, (the whole of my downstairs have been restored beautifully, they've been a pleasure to have around and very reasoNable rates too. Errol 07796 152901
  20. Can someone please post his number
  21. i ussed him about a month ago, he was very good. Also have name of another plumber Jamal 07588 502466, got both their numbers from MKK in Nunhead
