Suggestions for long haul flight
Crustyrack replied to Fijifish's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Don't take toys that can roll (pencils, round toys etc) Early learning centre sell sticker books with stickers that be reused and removed from the window/tray table at the end of the flight. Spare top for you and your little one. If there are headphones provided with the entertainment system on the plane, get them to practice using them (buy from Pound store) as they won't understand the concept! Lower your standards and never underestimate the power of chocolate buttons.... -

It's an app shows you which planes, when and where are overhead. Quite cool when the red arrows are doing a fly past! And to spot random planes a mile up, when you don't hear them and you know the flight is going from Paris to NY !There are websites as well that you can see details of flights overhead. Didn't quite realise quite how many flights use this area as an approach. I thought when City airport was planned most flights were going to approach via the Thames... -

It's all City Airport traffic, doubling back over ED to make final descent from the west; that's why they are so low. -
Are you psychic ? Where does the poster say she wants it done for free? Or lives in a mansion? My plea to the poster is not to give cash in hand work to those on benefits. You know they won't declare it, meaning they are effectively stealing from the tax payer; and you are giving them a helping hand. Would you be a lookout for a thief breaking into a house?
