  1. Not policy, just a Game of Thrones fan who was excited to serve them commenting on a tongue in cheek thread. I think if I were a famous ED resident, I'd be more uncomfortable about my local pub being outed as per many of the posts on this thread, I doubt any Game of Thrones megafans are going to camp outside the shop hoping they might pop in again.
  2. Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) and Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) from Game of Thrones, both separetly but furniture from me in Oliver Bonas last month.
  3. Bee all the way... you'd have to pry that pram from cold dead fingers to make me give it up!
  4. Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser cannot be beat - there's a reason it has so many awards! Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue for a foundation and Benefit for the rest - Porefessional, They're Real, Brow Zings, Fake it and their boxed powders. Lipstick and eyeshadow can pretty much be from anywhere - Bourjois is a good cheaper option, made by Chanel. I worked for Benefit for 8 years and I've tried other things since I left but it's just not the same! If you want a real treat, January and February are a quiet time in beauty and Benefit often have their make up artist team out in either the Carnaby St boutique or any of the Oxford Street dept stores doing make up lessons - have a look on their facebook page. Lisa, Lauren, Lauretta, Claire, Alyson or Amy-Lou - any of them will make you feel a million bucks!
  5. plus Live Nation are kinda running out of venues after losing out to AEG for Hyde Park....
  6. Interesting, I know people pretty high up at Live Nation, will have to have a word. It does make sense!
  7. Are you reffering to the lady who was hit on her bike on the corner of east dulwich road and lordship? Because if so she was lucky and doing great ;)
  8. I didn't actually have treatment while pregnant but did just after with Simon from the Vale Practice on grove vale. He could tell before I'd said a thing that I had been pregnant, overdue and had a fast birth because he was so used to working on pregnant and post pregnancy women. He also diagnosed my severe gallstones long before 3 people at DMC and 2 A&E consultants at Kings did anything about it (when it became life threatening!).
  9. Re Cath Kidston - From a friend that works at their Head Office. Don't think its been confirmed but the pop up just shut so I guess we'll see!
  10. more indications that the old Deli is to be a Cath Kidston....
  11. what area do you work in? I work for Oliver Bonas and they are extremely flexible. Their head office is about a 50 min drive to near Tolworth but a great comapany to work for.
  12. My son is pretty solid 2hrs 11-1. If he starts to head towards 2.5 hrs I wake him, if not, it starts nearing 9 till he'll go to sleep (and he'll be grumpy about it), otherwise he'll happily go to bed at 7.30-7.45 and sleep till 6.30-7am.
  13. topshop, I tried everywhere else and they were stupidly uncomfy. The leigh ones, they do a shorter leg.
  14. Tommys in Peckham sell them and will fit them x
  15. Another shout out for tommys - they fixed my broken handle a couple months back.if they can't fix it they'll definately be able to point you in the right direction, they're very knowledgeable.
  16. Really wanted to come to the first one but missed it, so will see you in September!
  17. It can affect the ability to get a mortgage on the property. My friend is in limbo going through a sale due to this at the moment. Her house had knotweed caught early and treated after the survey, and whilst the report from the gardener has said there ae no more traces of it, the buyers mortgage lenders are refusing to go ahead. They are now having to pay a specialist company thousands to do a further investigation on the gardens.
  18. Cath Kidston is only a matter of time! Am I the only one excited about M&S?
  19. I worked at both Brockwell Lido and Dulwich park screenings last year, both great, though the dingys are much better than the concrete, if you can get premium tickets great, if not head to Dulwich park instead.
  20. London Mix - don't even get me started, been working with Refuge for the past 2 years, two thirds of all domestic violence starts in pregnancy. Glad to hear someone has been charged, hopefully she makes a full recovery.
  21. Just read this in the Daily Mail - horrible attack, and the woman's life still in danger. There's a number on there just sharing in case anyone saw anything.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3128172/Eight-months-pregnant-woman-21-loses-baby-pushed-ground-repeatedly-kicked-stamped-two-men-crash-helmets.html
  22. Yellow rose - these lovely sounding neighbours are mine too given the address. I'd be against this kind of thing normally, I can understand what people are saying about setting a precident and changing the character of the area but in this case I'd much rather continue to have neighbours like this than have them have to move out of the area for a landlord to buy up, turn into flats with sky high rents! If this goes through I just hope the person who buys the house is as good a neighbour as they've been to you. I don't know a lot about this kind of thing but if I can show my support then I would happily, feel free to DM me. This particular build does sound very sympathetic and low impact and much like it won't be too different from the summer houses already in the area.
  23. We were supposed to get an update in the store from the police, but no such luck. I spoke to the police after she'd gone in the ambulance who were essentially waiting to find out how serious her condition was before they reopened the roads, which they then did shortly afterwards so we can only assume that means she's ok. The lorry didn't cut the corner, we think just a genuine accident, one not seeing the other. But it could have been a lot worse. Second accident we have witnessed in 2 months, something needs to be looked at with regards to lights or a crossing.
  24. It happened outside our shop and my colleague and I were first on the scene. The police are going to update us, but yes a very serious injury to her foot. Amazingly fast response from the emergency services! That junction reeeeally needs looking at though, we witness far too many near missed there.
