  1. Help... Can anyone recommend a car boot or somewhere to set up a stall to sell a load of kids clothes (variety of ages), adults clothes (High St and designer), books and other household stuff? Moving house at the end of July and have loads of stuff I?d prefer not to pack up. All suggestions gratefully received. Thank you.
  2. We?re looking for new players and coaches to join us at Tulse Hill Junior Football Club! We are currently recruiting players for our u6, u7, u8, u9, u10 and u11 teams for the 2019/20 season. We also need enthusiastic individuals to help run our weekly coaching sessions. Sessions run from 10 am ? midday every Saturday in Dulwich Park (opposite the caf?). If you?d like to find out more, you can get in touch with us at [email protected], visit our website https://www.tulsehilljfc.co.uk or just pop along and see us at one of our Saturday sessions. Founded in 1964, Tulse Hill Juniors is one of the oldest and most established junior football clubs in South London. All of our coaches are required to be DBS checked before they are allowed to carry out full coaching duties, and we advocate for them to become FA qualified within a year of joining the club. Our sole mission is to provide a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for children to learn the fundamentals of football regardless of age, gender, race or skill. We are a member of the Tandridge Youth Football League, which is affiliated by the London FA and comprises of clubs from across the South London, Surrey and Kent Regions. The season runs from September to May with matches taking place on Sundays. As a result of our affiliation with the London Football Association, each year we also take part in the London Cup, competing against teams from all over the capital.
  3. I got in touch with David based on the comments above and I cannot recommend him enough... I?d just turned 40 and with 3 kids and a busy job I was making excuses not to do more exercise. Pre kids I was petty active but I haven?t done much in the last 4-5 years. David eased me back in but ramped up the intensity quickly. The routines change regularly so it?s never boring. In addition to the above David is a lovely bloke and we always have fun whilst working out. As many people have mentioned he offers a free taster session. Happy for people to get in touch if they have an specific queries about his sessions.
  4. Evening, I'm looking for a builder to refurbish a small studio flat in Peckham Rye. The works will involve stripping out and installing a new kitchen and bathroom. Plumbing and electrics. Some plastering, wood work and full redecoration. Does anyone has any recommendations? Thanks.
  5. Evening, Has anyone attended a good firework display locally they'd recommend for a family? Thanks.
  6. Can anyone recommend a good local tailor for suit, jacket and shirt alterations? Thanks
  7. I'm looking for someone to repair a few springs and re-upholster a sofa and three large cushions. Can anyone recommend someone they've used previously? Thanks.
  8. Elliot has recently installed alcove cupboards and a large fitted wardrobe in our master bedroom. We're absolutely delighted with the finished product. Elliot was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and was also great with the kids who must have asked him a thousand questions. We would highly recommend him and his work.
  9. We've got some springs coming through the back of our sofa. We think it was damaged in a recent move. Can anyone recommend someone to repair? Thanks.
  10. Hi John, I'd be interested in coming along. I'll struggle to attend every week due to work / family commitments. I'll probably be able to make 8 sessions. Would that be ok? Also what is the general standard? I played Sunday League to a decent standard until 4 years ago but haven't played much since. Thanks Sharief
  11. Hi, we were broken into last night (Upland Road)and amongst the items stolen was a black puffa coat by Elie Tahari. If anyone finds the coat, I would be so grateful if you could call me on 07977 449003. Many thanks Alex
  12. We were broken into last night whilst our family slept. We have been kindly contacted by a couple of people who have found a few of our possessions in various places on Upland Road. If anybody else spots anything (coats, handbags etc), we'd be really grateful if you could call us (07977 449003). Many thanks Alex
  13. Hi I would also highly recommend Marcella's spray tans, which I've been having for the last 2.5 years! They look fantastic - totally natural (never orange!) and are also long lasting. Much better results than I have had previously at beauty salons and a million times better than doing it yourself! Marcella is lovely and is also really flexible, accommodating and reliable. I've often contacted her at the last minute and asked her to come late in the evening/weekend and it's never a problem. Overall, the whole experience is so easy, quick and convenient, and with great results!
  14. Hi Laura, I would also highly recommend Simone at Mind over Matter Boxing. She is a fantastic trainer, really motivating, focussed and achieves fantastic results! The boxing element of her workouts are an amazing way to get fit and obtain great toning and definition. Even when I'm feeling shattered at the end of a long week, I always feel brilliant after my workout! Simone's sessions are also really affordable - go for it!! www.mindovermatterboxing.co.uk Good luck Alex
  15. Can anyone recommend a decent local tailor. I need some work done to a jacket I bought recently... Thanks.
  16. Zebedee Tring Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How long have the cinemas in Brixton, Clapham and > Greenwich been open (all PictureHouse cinemas)? > 20/30 years? If so, why should the ED cinema close > in one year, since it will cater for a similar > audience? Agreed... They've clearly got a successful business model and given the similarities between the demographic in Brixton, Clapham and Greenwich with ED I can't see it failing. They also do a good job of selling the bar and cafe attached to the cinema as a venue in itself. I imagine the kids cinema offerings on Sat and Sun will also be very popular...
  17. I played for a local team called Midway for almost 10 years. Sadly age and injury got the better of me. They have an A and B team and they're a really well run club. There is a nice social aspect and they're a really good bunch of lads. They play on Burbage Road in the Bromley and Beckenham League. If anyone is interested message me for contact details.
  18. We're a few players down. Mixed standard with ages ranging from mid 20s to mid 30s.
