  1. Please come and join us for cakes, flapjacks and biscuits to raise money so Southwark children on free school meals have a chance to enjoy holiday outings. We are mainly East Dulwich mums on our first fundraiser while on maternity leave. https://www.cschub.co.uk
  2. Hi I am doing our carpet fitter a favour as he isn't the best at marketing himself, but he is very good at his job. We only learned of him through our plasterer. His service is very good value and he goes out of his way for you. We have had him lay three lots of carpet and it is very professional throughout. He has a huge array of carpet choices and he is happy to leave samples with you for a few days/weeks until you are certain. One thing is that he isn't always the best at getting back to us on the phone quickly, but he always will. If you are looking for carpets to be laid then do consider Jo on 07830 525 975. I bid you a deep piled adieu Nicola
  3. Sounds like fun. I have been banned from risk and I love the really nasty horse racing game. Do let me know if there is other interest as I would be keen. Nicola
  4. Hello We are a small, but not entirely perfectly formed, book group. We focus on reading modern novels that are the classics of the future, drinking wine and happily veering onto other topics. We would love for a few more people to join us. Our next meeting is Wednesday 10 Feb and we are reading the Man Booker winner A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James. The following meeting as a goodbye to a founder member we are going outside our usual modern brief to read Anna Karenina on Wed 16 March (and ensure that he finishes this before moving to Denmark). We meet at the Clockhouse at 19.30. DM me for more info. Nicola
  5. On tonight for those who fancy it. Katherine, Naomi, Peter and me hope to see you there.
  6. Hello We meet at the Clocktower monthly to discuss books and follow-up with the quiz. We can certainly improve both our chat and score, so please join us. The next meeting is Tuesday 3rd March at 19.00. We are reading Ian McEwen's A Children Act. The quiz starts at 20.30, but if you don't fancy it please just stay for the discussion. We are a nice small group and we do not want to get too big (otherwise not everyone gets to share), but we would like a few more new faces and views. DM me for more info. Nicola
  7. We are a small friendly group reading the best of modern literature. Join us in reading Richard Flanagan, The Narrow Road to the Deep North on Tue 3 Feb 2015 19:30. We meet at the Clock House, 196A Peckham Rye, London SE22 9QA. DM me for more info. I hope that you can make it. Nicola
