I don't think there is a word for someone who cannot learn something and as a teacher, I believe that anyone can learn anything if they want to. Teachers talk about learners having a 'fixed mind set' or a 'growth mind set'. If you can share more details I might be able to help.

My card doesn't work in the turnstile every time but the staff on duty open the disabled gate for me. If he waves his card at them they should let him in that way. -
Hi, I too grew up in Cheam and David is absolutely right in his analysis of it. I go back to visit my Mum who also still lives there and every time I come home I am glad I live in SE15! Belmont is mostly similar to how David describes south Cheam.

difficulties in concentrating/ essays etc- dyslexia??
jollyrogers replied to Minitoots's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, I have a twenty year old son who has very similar problems. He was diagnosed with 'dyslexic type problems' when he was 10 at the Bloomfield. He was reassessed a few months ago at Camberwell Art School and was diagnosed as being severely dyslexic. Camberwell have been very helpful and are giving him lots of support. Have you spoken to the school where he is doing his A'levels - they should be able to offer him some extra support. -

Please don't get the toddler group and the pre-school mixed up - they are two seperate things although they are in the same building. -
