Just to add, Adam initially worked in my garden about five years ago turning it from an overgrown cabbage patch into something much more pleasant, which I can happily maintain myself, plus the odd appearance to sort bigger things out. He's always responsive, efficient and charges reasonably.

Waller Road, SE14 resident here. Another one for Adam. Since lockdown eased, he's been round a couple of times. He pretty much does all the gardens in the close vicinity. Easy to work with, punctual, creative with plant selection and reasonable rates (even for jobs like 'digging up bamboo')

Adam's been working on my garden in Telegraph Hill for the last two weeks and he's been excellent. It's a small garden which hasn't had much attention for the last few years, so constitutes an on-going project. He's on time, reliable and knowledgeable. It's really coming back to life - so I'm very happy. He's always left it tidy and his rate is very reasonable. He's made a number of suggestions as to the direction we should take the garden. I've decided to trust in the expert and let him handle the creative side, which he's very happy to do. Vik

People live in the Old Kent Road area who have less access to rail than those on the Peckham / Camberwell route. Why does Peckham Rye deserve it any more than another route to Lewisham? If the Bakerloo line extension is going to take place at all, developer funding is going to be required. The Peckham route offers considerably less potential for funding - so it's got to be OKR I'm afraid. Isn't it better that someone somewhere in south East London benefits from tube travel than absolutely nothing at all?

At Heathrow, easterly winds need to be greater than 5 knots before they switch to easterly operations. It's called the 'westerly preference'. This doesn't apply to City. There was a consultation a couple of years ago where Heathrow proposed ending this arrangement - planes would land from the west when wind speed was under 5 knots and blowing from East.

TFL have just published this document indicating why they're going for Old Kent Road and not Peckham. I'm curious. For those bothered by aircraft, what conditions (if any) would have to be met for a Heathrow runway 3 to be acceptable?

If you're bothered by aircraft noise in the area, then this is for you. Roughly half of planes arriving and departing from Heathrow belong to the Airbus A320 family which have been in service for a number of years. You always know when one of these is around because it makes a high pitched whistling noise, unlike the lower rumble of other planes. This whistling is generated by air flowing over a number of holes in the wing called Fuel Over Protector Cavities. Only now has a fix been manufactured, which is being implemented by a number of airlines. Lufthansa and Air France have almost finished with their Airbus fleet. BA (i.e. the prime noise generator at Heathrow have yet to start, but allegedly will do so in October 2015). If you're wondering, the noise difference is immense. ... and interestingly, Lewisham have picked out a site on Old Kent Road roughly where the Toys R Us is, stating 'An analysis has been undertaken to consider the ideal location for a new station on Old Kent Road. This has been done by overlaying areas of Indices of Multiple Deprivation, 800m walking catchments, development opportunity areas and site allocations, and demonstrates the need for a new station in Southwark to the south of South Bermondsey, as shown on the diagram. This supports the work undertaken by Transport for London.'

Fazer, I'm guessing you're aware what's causing the Airbus warble. http://www.euractiv.com/sections/aviation/small-beautiful-how-tiny-device-cuts-aircraft-noise-303505 Apparently Lufthansa and Air France are in the process of installing these devices to their A320s to silence the wailing. BA not so keen (apparently).

As London Bridge is being rebuilt, it's understandable that services are somewhat erratic. Given the emphasis in the consultation documents on the role of developer contributions to fund the project, is anyone able to explain what opportunities exist on the Camberwell route? It's a given that Old Kent Road can satisfy this requirement, but I've not heard of similar potential via Camberwell.
