  1. Yes we too had a home visit the week before starting. It was lovely actually and no, they didn't look around the house. Just had a cup of tea and I filled in some paper work with one of the teachers whilst daughter played with the other one. As BB said, I am grateful that my child is not just a name on a register. I wouldn't have minded the visit after term had started but I guess different topics would be discussed.
  2. I can highly recommend Angela who is on Choumert Road. Our daughter went to her for almost 2 years and we couldn't have been happier. (She is now in school nursery). Angela has gone above and beyond the call of duty for us as well as several friends of ours, who also sent their children there. Pm me if you'd like more details. Te
  3. I too am sorry not to use Little Clippers anymore. As mentioned above, the idea is great and my daughter would choose to go there every time but the quality of the haircuts is poor. (And my daughter is not a wriggly type). Two good friends of mine have had similar experiences with their boys - even the dads commented on the state of the haircuts afterwards. I would be more than happy to pay the price if the the cut matched it.
  4. Do try Battersea Latchmere as well. They have a shallow/beach entry pool and a little elephant slide which keeps the elder kids amused. Free parking and the cafe area upstairs has a soft play section in it, though that is an extra cost.
  5. We use www.airportsdirectservices.co.uk and they have been great. They've always turned up with the child seat, on time, helpful drivers and nice cars. I'm not sure what their last minute booking system is like though as we've always booked a few days in advance. http://www.airportsdirectservices.co.uk/ Edited to add proper link
