  1. Thanks for posting, I love hearing about the history of local families and this is a great introduction to yours!
  2. Osmington Mills is a great beach for rock pooling, snorkelling and fossil finding - and there's a nice pub nearby called the Smuggler's Inn which has lots of outdoor space. Corfe Castle is always fun, Studland beach is worth the drive and paying to get in to if you don't have National Trust membership. You can go mackerel fishing from Weymouth - that'd be fun with kids.
  3. I hope I'm not too late! Erika was our midwife when we had our son in March 2018 - she was a case-load midwife with Juniper team. Oh she was so wonderful - patient and kind and knowledgeable all through a very anxious pregnancy. I will never forget how gentle and thoughtful she was when my son was born and losing weight - she was calm and kind throughout. I hope she has a very happy retirement. Hannah, Phil and Tommy xx
  4. Thank you GMav for doing what you did to the one near us fixed - it felt like I was alone but clearly not - I was so relieved when it was finally replaced!
  5. Contact Thames Water on Twitter too - I went on a one person campaign over the man hole cover outside 140 Barry Road because it was so loud, so dangerous for drivers and was continuously getting covered in ineffective tarmac that broke apart in days. I explained this to Thames Water over and over and over again via email, phone call and Twitter. Twitter was were I got the quickest responses...but it still took from May to December for it to be properly replaced at which point the noise stopped. These just happened to be the months I was desperately trying to get any uninterrupted sleep I could as I had a small baby. Good luck!
  6. I can't fault our Bugaboo Bee 5 - it's everything you say you want! The only downside is the price but I know I'll be using it until my son is about 3 or 4 as my sister did with her little ones.
  7. I've had one delicious soft serve ice cream from there with the best toppings; the service was so lovely and they gave my little one a freebie so...they've secured us as loyal customers! Can't wait to try the full menu.
  8. Oh also, the link you've shared jumps in to the film at 19s - perhaps check and reshare?
  9. Thanks Daisy, I've watched, commented, liked and shared. Well done and thank you. I wonder if you could add some information to the film or the info box about what women can do who might feel this way? Contact the mother and baby unit at their local hospital would be my suggestion as some GPs are not so good at recognising the symptoms of this. I'm working with Kings at the moment to help improve local services for PND/PNA and know that access to useful information is hard, especially when you are in such a state of anxiety and panic. Thank you again for doing this x
  10. Just wanted to recommend Nesha as a really good cleaner. She came to clean my house yesterday as a stand in for my regular (also brilliant) cleaner. I have quite high standards and was impressed by her attention to detail - she notices the dust on top of picture frames, got all the soap scum and limescale off our shower screen etc. She's currently with an agency and wants some more hours on top of that. Her rating at the agency (which works like uber) is 5*. PM me if you'd like her number. Thanks!
  11. Hooray! You have been missed! I saw Munir on the deck this week and wanted to say hello - I will next time :)
  12. My friend set up http://www.dadsdobrunch.com/ when he started parental leave this summer - worth having a look and looking out for the regular meet up with other dads at Brickhouse Bakery :)
  13. It was fireworks - I saw them at about 5.30pm from Silvester Road.
  14. I'd recommend Aston, he did a handful of jobs around our flat carefully and efficiently. He's polite and friendly and cleaned up afterwards which was really appreciated!
