  1. I used Nicola Watson for both of mine too, but baby 2 still managed to bring me to the brink in the space of 4.5months! :-) (I am not helping am I? I'll shut up now. :-) It sounds like you want a third, go for it!)
  2. Strawbs ? didn't you post a while ago about having a bad sleeper :-) Or was that someone else?
  3. @sillywoman I met loads of nice ladies that I still hang out with thru the forum so luckily I didn't get lonely!
  4. Our NCT group didn't really gel and hasn't really survived past a few cursory meet ups. I did hypnobirthing for my second birth and really wish I had done it for my first. Giving birth is such a life event, it's worth investing in, a bad birth will stay with you forever.
  5. My LO had diarrhoea during the entire course of ABs. I used Udo's Choice probiotic, suitable for infants and onwards, which greatly helped. By all means speak to your GP though, I am not a medical professional!
  6. Does anyone have any recommendations for a marriage counsellor? Thanks!
  7. Hi My 14 week old baby has started to refuse the bottle and is now exclusively breastfed. With my older one, who did the same, I used a nanny for a day to help me get her back on it. The nanny I used last time is not available so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Thanks!
  8. I go to Jelly Belly postnatal fitness class on a Monday 1.30 in Peckham Rye. We usually have a coffee afterwards?
  9. The children's centres often have weaning workshops. The Albrighton for example is doing one on the 7th of December I believe. There are also paid for weaning workshop on baby led weaning on the 2nd of Dec in Goose Green Centre.
  10. I used a lady called Annette who is a nanny to help me to get my breastfed baby to accept the bottle. I could have done it myself, but I simply didn't have the stamina! It took her a day, she kept comforting my daughter throughout so it wasn't that bad, but there will be crying! PM if you want Annette's number.
  11. I was wondering the same thing! I walked past yesterday and the shop has gone! I can't find his mobile number so I can't give him a call either!
  12. My allergies seem to be getting worse and worse. I was thinking of buying some anti allergenic mattress and pillow covers. Does anyone have any recommendations? I had some as a kid and remember generating electricity every time I moved! Thanks!
  13. I am looking to buy a (secondhand) Phil & Teds double buggy, but can't see the wood for the trees anymore with the different models, Dot, Navigator, Sport & Explorer. I have a 2 year old toddler who's positively pint-sized & a newborn. I like the Dot, because it's so compact but the other models seem to get good reviews as well too. I am looking for a small a buggy as possible, ideally one that fits the parent facing seat (although that only goes up to 9 kgs. Thanks!
  14. I had a croissant from Andersons this morning (Bellenden Road) and it was delicious. I do love Trio for their cakes and coffee though (and staff).
  15. My husband has bought a cider press recently ... What would we do without Amazon eh?
  16. Yes, you're right actually Amydown, I remember now.
  17. I looked in to a nanny share at the time and found it aroudn 30% more expensive than the other childcare option I had chosen. My alternative was a childminder, who charges ?50 a day. The comparison may be different to a nursery, as nurseries tend to be more expensive. Another complicating factor was that my nanny share lady didn't want the nanny full time and I did, so I ended up paying 'more' in a relative sense. We found that a nanny would typically charge ?10 (net) an hr, for taking care of 2 kids. So you would have to add the tax etc on top of that. I found that when the child is sick you want to stay home with them anyway, rather than hand them over, but maybe that's just me.
  18. The Great Exhibition of course ... Not the Exhibition Rooms .. (that's in Crystal Palace)
  19. Shall I create an event on the FB page for the Exhibition Rooms on the 30th of June? Will Sarah book a table? Sarah (SDJ) I did get your PM and invited you to the FB group, but I don't think you're on there yet! Chantal

  21. Hi guys, I did set up a FB group. It might make it easier to organise events etc & easier to keep track of what is happening when and where. This is the link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/551611781643341/ Alternatively if you send me a PM with your email address I can add you to it. x
  22. Right! It's done! It's called Autumn Babies 2015.I can invite people to the group by email, so pm me your email address if you want to join. x
  23. Shall I set up a (closed) FB group for this? That way it's easier to create events and keep track of what's happening? If you PM me with your email address I can invite you to the FB group.
  24. What do you mean with the referral service? You mean when you call the surgery for an urgent thing (for example a sick child) and they see you the same day? (Or alternatively they're quite good at giving you a telephone appt if that's appropriate). I agree that service is good. If you call for a normal appointment you will only be seen next week though!
