  1. I've used Faith Dwight Photography for family and baby photos. She's in Bedford, but travels - http://www.faithdwightphotography.com/
  2. I found in the area, the rate is around 60 net/day. Comes out to about 90/day with taxes.
  3. Yes, 4 weeks seems pretty standard.
  4. Our internet has been down since 3:30 today. I work from home, so it's pretty debilitating. Is anyone else down? We're on Underhill rd.
  5. I have an Uppababy G Luxe and really like it. It weighs less than 10 lbs and breaks down easily (but you do need 2 hands). It also reclines, so you can use it from 3 months on - good for baby #2!
  6. We've just enjoyed 2 weeks of our 10 month old sleeping through the night, thanks to Nicola! She changed up our bedtime routine and nursing schedule, and we had less than an hour of crying spread over 2 nights before he slept through. Best money we've spent!
  7. I'm reading Dune by Frank Herbert now and like it. Decided to read it after many recommendations as a book that will change the way you think about life.
  8. My favourite pulled pork recipe - http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/2013/12/03/recipe-best-pulled-pork-crock-pot/
  9. Yes! I love Insanity. My husband and I have done the whole thing a few times and still do some of the work outs as one-offs. It's hard when you start and hard when you finish. If you push yourself, it's hard at every level of fitness. Can't get a better workout at home than this. You can do it! Some days I dreaded it to start and then was glad I finished. Everyone in the video takes a break at some point in the workout. Just do what you can, take a break and keep going! You can do it! Dig deeper! You can tell I've seen a lot of Shaun T (and Tanya). I'd also recommend t25 - it's Shaun T's 25 min workouts. I tried Asylum but it requires more equipment and coordination then I have!
  10. I took this Baby Massage class with Laura and would recommend! I will say, I spent about half of each session nursing, but the technique was easy to pick up and we did quite a bit at home. http://www.iaimbabymassage.co.uk/jellybabies
  11. I've posted on the Dulwich Mums Facebook. No Twitter yet. I'll do that now!
  12. Is there a pumpkin patch (relatively) nearby? Looking for some fall photos with baby.
  13. Thank you! I think I'm going to put some flyers up around the Park. I found a picture of the actual quilt from my baby shower. I'll update the original post.
  14. I posted in the Family section, but thinking it's more than parents in Dulwich village. A quilt was left on a bench in Dulwich village last week - down near Rocca. It's handmade - my mother in law made it for my son. I believe she added a patch that says "To Riley From Nana" on the back. Here's a couple images from the Meet the Gang fabric she uses. The unnamed is actually a quilt she made from the scraps of the missing quilt. Please let me know if you've seen it or picked it up. Would love to buy you a bottle of wine in return!
  15. Another image. She made this quilt from the scraps of the other one.
  16. The quilt was returned to the cafe in East Dulwich Park. Thank you to whomever found it!
  17. Good to know! I wondered if kids would come around.
  18. Any recommendations for Halloween festivities? I gave an 8 month old, so not planning on trick or treating, but would love to dress up and see others dressed up.
  19. My husband and I stayed here and it was amazing - http://sanctuarycapcana.com/ It is a small resort and doesn't have the casino, night club, waterslide, etc that you see at huge all inclusives. But the rooms were beautiful, food was really good, drinks were bottomless, and we spent a good deal of time reading and relaxing. Just depends on what kind of vacation you want - but I highly recommend this one for lounging in paradise!
  20. We have a ton of apples as well and would love to get in on this if if happens!
  21. We did Bump, Birth and Beyond with Ariadna Sole and it was so good for meeting other couples. The ladies still meet weekly and the Dads meet occasionally. We all get together about once a season. The Dads all went out a couple times and are in a Whatsapp group together. My husband hit if off with a couple of the dads and they talk and hang out regularly. Definitely money well spent! http://www.ariadnasole.com/
  22. Is there a way for me to delete threads I posted that are no longer needed? Mostly for wanted items that no one replied to, but I no longer need.
