  1. I would have absolutely have loved to come but I broke my foot earlier this week so won't be going anywhere for around 6 weeks. Hopefully I'll get to finally join you in November. Enjoy Sunday.
  2. As September inches ever nearer, I wondered if a date for the next Sunday ride was fixed? I'm looking forward to coming along.
  3. Me too - I've been singularly unlucky on the dates so far. Very much looking forward to meeting everyone.
  4. Is there a date for the next evening? Sadly I couldn't make the last one but count me in for the next one.
  5. I've been training with Giulio for 18 months and continue to enjoy and value my sessions. Not only am I stronger, fitter, have improved posture and no longer suffer from niggling back aches, but Giulio has helped me to challenge my rather skewed image of what a healthy body looks like - no mean feat! Be prepared to be challenged and work hard, but also to enjoy yourself thoroughly and, if you're anything like me, laugh your way through each hour session - Giulio has a super sense of humour. I cannot recommend Scala Personal Training highly enough. Next stop, Bejing!
  6. Make sure you pick them before the 29th September - that's when the devil spits (Michaelmas Day)!
  7. When's the next meet-up? I've not been able to make any yet but would love to come along if possible.
  8. Venison casserole every time. Much simpler, takes moments to prepare and tastes as if you've spent all day slaving over a hot stove.
  9. If you're after somewhere you can chat, impress with your knowledge of wine, looking for somewhere relaxed with the option to suggest dinner if all's going well, go for Green and Blue. If you'd rather start with a drink and don't mind raising your voice somewhat, go to the Bishop, to show how 'down with the kids you are'. Good luck. If all else fails there's a Domino Pizza near the station!
  10. I've never stroked the brown stuff but do confess to nibbling a couple of squares of 85% every morning after building up a healthy appetite at the gym. And throwing in a square to any meat casserole or tomato based stew for an added kick. I have however been known to stroke other items in shops - FM shoes, kiwi fruit.....
  11. Xena: Worried prince Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Who needs online dating when we appear to have a > good singles movement going in the wanted thread. > ?? I'm clearly missing something as I've scoured the 'wanted' thread and can't see a thing about singles. Not that I'm desperate you understand!
  12. Ladygooner Did you get 'tubed' locally? I'm coeliac and had cameras inserted in various orifices more times that I care to remember, but never a colonic. If I could do the whole procedure done near Lordship Lane, I'd be there in a pulse beat!
  13. I'm so sorry that I missed last night. Has a follow up event been planned?
  14. Please let there be a second meeting up - I can't make this Friday evening but would love to meet up with you all.
  15. Miffy and Amelie I am 34, single and female and am also finding it rather hard to hook up with fellow females, let alone men! I go to the gym before work and so not the best time to suggest a coffee as everyone is intent on getting to work. I am certainly up for shopping and drinks in ED - just name the date!
  16. Can anyone rock up? Will it be obvious who you all are to an EDF Drinks virgin?
  17. CW1

    Anyone single?

I'm new to the area, also in my 30s and wondering if there are any single men in ED who are interested in meeting gorgeous women. Any takers?
  18. Spare a thought for us single people. Is there any respite from the hearts and flowers for us in ED?
  19. Thank you so much everyone for making me feel so welcome and for some super suggestions. The 3rd October is in my diary and I hope to meet some of you then - if not before. Onwards and upwards! CW1 :)
  20. Help! I'm a single female whom has bought in the area so am here to stay for a while. I don't know anyone in the immediate area but would greatly appreciate any tips on where to socialise without resorting to taking up knitting or looking like a complete desparado. Best suggestion (with results) wins a prize...... Thank you.
