  1. Hello, does anyone have a babyzen yoyo buggy board they’re looking to sell? Preferably for collection this week. Thanks
  2. Hi Amy I haven't seen a group yet, but would be very keen to join - thanks for organising. I'm due 12th January with my first, but also trying to move house before then! Thanks Briony
  3. Another recommendation for James - I found his details on here yesterday when we managed to trip our half our house trying to fix a light two hours before the estate agent coming round to take photos. James was finishing another job, came straight over and fixed the issue, helped explain what had happened so we knew what to do next time, thrown in a free light switch and all for a very reasonable fee.
  4. Not the home library service, but anyone with a device (smartphone, kindle, ipad) and a southwark library card number can get free access to audiobooks and ebooks through the Borrowbox app. Obviously not suitable for everyone but for some it's a great alternative while the library's closed.
  5. I don't have any myself I'm afraid, but if you've got library cards, you can sign up to BorrowBox for free access to thousands of ebooks (and audiobooks) - including a lot of Terry Pratchett. If you've got any kind of device your kids can use(kindle, phone, ipdad or even laptop i think) it's a great option for lockdown. There's also pressreader and RBDigital for newspapers and magazines - absolutely tonnes available for free.
  6. I found one behind the counter in rye lane asda for a fiver a few days ago - am self isolating now so not sure if they still have them, but could be worth a shot
  7. Hi A lady on our estate has lost her tabby cat. Just off the south end of Rye Lane (near Copeland Road car park). If anyone sees her, please contact the info on the poster (attached) Thanks Briony
  8. My mum who's visiting has lost a necklace of her late mother's, which has huge sentimental value. She found the broken chain in the car, but not the pendant itself, which is a gold pendant with three segments (though is just one piece). Photo attached. It's not worth a huge amount, except to my mum, and would be happy to pay a cash reward to anyone who found it. It may be near Rye Lane, Blenheim Grove, Bournemouth Close, Old Kent Road B&Q/Asda or maybe even Tooting High Street or Emmanuel Road. We've phoned the stores it might have been near to no avail. Please PM me if you think you might have found it. Thanks in advance Thanks Briony
  9. Just to add another recommendation for Brian and his team (I think Vicky did the work on our place). We needed our open plan stairs painting, but couldn't really leave the house while they dried. Brian offered a few solutions (painting alternate stairs, just one half etc), but managed to fit the work in while we were going to be away for a few days over Christmas. Brian was really helpful advising us what types of finish might work, and giving us a range of colours to choose from. The work was completed while we were away, with Brian keeping us up to date with progress. The stairs look brilliant - a really professional finish, and completely transform the house.
  10. Another recommendation for Andy. He came round at short notice to strip some very awkward wallpaper on the ceiling above our open tread stairs. He spent a while explaining how we'd be able to do the job ourselves if we didn't want to pay for it. We were still a bit nervous about balancing ladders above stairs though, so Andy squeezed us in on a Saturday morning, and even came back on the Monday to finish off a section he hadn't realised we thought was included. Clean, tidy, and a massive help. Thanks Andy!
  11. We massively over catered for a party this evening, and were wondering if anyone knew of any homeless charities that might want to take some food off our hands? It's mostly cooked so won't last long, but we won't eat it all and it seems a shame to waste it. We don't drive, but could drop off in walking distance of Peckham. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations, or other ideas.
  12. Thanks! Picked some up last night. As Sue says, there does seem to be potential for involving community gardens.
  13. Hi, we're looking for any recommendations anyone has for bathroom fitters around Rye Lane area. It's a smallish bathroom (2.3x1.9m) but needs complete refitting. We've discovered with the rest of this house that things are never quite as simple as they seem, so looking for someone reliable and affordable who can maybe cope with a slightly quirky house! Many thanks in advance
  14. Hi, we've got a Wickes kitchen being delivered in a couple of weeks, and were wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a kitchen fitter? It's an Apollo slab tech work surface, so anyone who has experience working with that would be fantastic, though any recommendations would be great. We're just off Peckham Rye. Thanks
