Is there anyone available for a one off clean tomorrow in east Dulwich? I?m looking for 5 hours for quite a thorough clean. Please PM your details and rate. Thank you

I took my puppy to goose green a lot. Lots of lovely dog walkers there too. I also go to Sydenham woods a lot too. Once you?re in it feels nice and enclosed and as someone else said, it?s likely your pup won?t venture too far from you anyway

I?m also looking for french tuition and would prefer a group situation. Depending what level we?re both at would you be interested in learning together?

Looking for local dad / baby classes
Waffo replied to Dulwich..dad's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Try foxglove forest school, it?s great fun. On wednesdays it?s at bell house in Dulwich village and on Thursdays in Sydenham. My husband likes taking our daughter and seems a little more dad friendly than some other classes. You could also try swimming lessons at everyone active -
I found Hawkins to be quite expensive when I took 8 prints in to be framed. I thought the advice and service I received in Thames Gallery much better and have been back several times. It might just depend what you?re looking for. I did find the place on North Cross very expensive too.

Dulwich park open air cinema for children
Waffo replied to sunrayhelen's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I went at the weekend and there?s a huge canopy for shade. -
I had a great time with my 18 month old at the weekend. I was concerned to find a few construction screws in the sand though. What?s the plan in terms of maintaining the park? Finding the screws did make me wonder how long it would be until there was broken glass and then trips to a&e to have it removed....

I was at DMC and moved to 306 when I was getting fed up of not being able to get an appointment. My midwife was based at 306 which was a plus. 306 are brilliant at making appointments for little ones. They?ve often squeezed us in on the same day. The nurse is lovely for immunisations too

Thanks Specklemum, I've heard that Ariadna Sole is pretty good from other people. Where are you thinking of doing a class? I'm thinking of doing the pregnancy pilates again at ESPH, I thought that was pretty good first time round (if a little expensive!!) -
Autumn babies group (September/October/November 2018)
Waffo replied to carebear's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, I?m expecting my second in November and enjoyed the meet ups last time round from this group. Would also be great to meet people expecting similar time as I don?t think i?ll do any antenatal classes - unless anyone can recommend a good one for second/third time parents... -
Victorian front doors - where did you get yours?
Waffo replied to cantthinkofaname's topic in Request a Tradesperson
WE got ours from runcent joinery on north cross road. 3 of our neighbours have since got their front doors from them too. -
Went to Lucas this morning with my brother and parents (6 of us in total). Complete disaster. Main problems were as follows Brother wanted three fried eggs, they would only do 2 or 4 Cup of tea arrived and waitress tipped it over my brother with no apology, glad it missed the 8 month old baby. Part of the order was wrong, again no apology. Hash browns were frozen in the middle, not cold, literally ice. Owner very nonchalant about it. We sent this meal back - it had already come out wrong twice. Avocado in 3 of the meals was under ripe and rock solid. Not eaten and sent back. When my husband said to the owner at the end ?this has been a bit of a disaster today hasn?t it?? His reply was ?these things happen?. No apology. Completely understand that new business have teething issues but this was pretty diabolical. Try spinach, blue brick or one of the other fantastic breakfast offerings we have in East Dulwich.

It's that man with his b*****n gardening tips again!!
Waffo replied to Gardenman's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Nigel came to give my garden a good old tidy up before Autumn really sets in. He did a really good job and jet washed my patio so that it looks as good as new. Would very much recommend him and use him again. -

I have artificial grass in my teeny tiny east dulwich garden. It didn't make sense for me to put down real grass. For the few sq ft I didn't want to then have to store a lawn mower. Personally I think it looks great. It is long, lush and soft. Artificial lawns have come a long way in the last few years and some look fantastic. I would agree some also look awful. I have 'easi grass - mayfair'. It's the top of their range so excellent quality. It has a shock absorbant underlay and feels just like walking on carpet. If you'd like to come and have a look at mine you'd be more than welcome.

Carpet buying - any tips or tricks to save?
Waffo replied to poppet27's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We saw what we liked in the local carpet shop, looked online and found it at dourof carpets in catford. They then had cheaper underlay (for the same quality), cheaper grippers and cheaper fitting. It was a no brainier and our carpet looks great! -
