  1. Julian made my loft wardrobe, fitted desk and shelves in the study and three alcove units in the living room. His work was of an outstanding quality and his quotes were very reasonable. Much better than others who were quoting ?25k for the described work above. He is meticulous in his attention to detail and we were thrilled with the results
  2. I'm looking for someone to come and do some weeding in a teeny tiny patch of garden this weekend. It's probably no more than 1hrs work. Will pay ?15ph. Please PM if interested
  3. Just in case anyone is on here but not Facebook, lots of us are meeting at The Lordship on Wednesday 2nd November from 6:30pm for a drink (or two).
  4. Steve 00 I'm trying to reply but your inbox is full!
  5. I am looking for a decorator with particularly high standards for the following: Painting Fitted Furniture: 2 x alcove units 1 x drinks cabinet 1 x large loft wardrobe 1 x smaller wardrobe Additional Jobs: Painting another coat (or two?) on front door Painting two flights of stair spindles and handrails Redecorating large bathroom due to settlement cracks Range of smaller touch up jobs We would like someone to start shortly after the 5th December and are just off Lordship Lane, near to The Lordship pub. Our biggest priority is someone with high standards and an eye for detail, not someone who wants to just be in and out. We would like to ideally see some of your work too. If you think this could be for you, please do get in touch via PM to discuss when you could come over to discuss availability/time-scales/quotes. Many thanks
  6. I've got the quooker. I love how easy it is to use and how much sleeker my counter looks.
  7. Hello! I'm due 20th Feb and doing NCT in Jan. The one that runs two saturdays. I also signed up for the NHS course too so it feels like I'm sure i'll bump into you along the way at some point.
  8. I'm thinking of using Doug to do a considerable amount of work in my house. I know it's a bit cheeky but is there anyone who wouldn't mind showing me what he's done for you? I've seen photos but it's not the same as seeing it in the flesh. Many thanks
  9. I'm thinking of using Elliot for quite a considerable amount of work. Can I be a bit cheeky and ask if anyone would mind me seeing some of his work. I've seen lots of pictures but it's not quite the same as seeing in the flesh. Many thanks
  10. Hi all, another Feb mum here too. Due at the end of February with my first. I know what you mean motorbird about it not quite seeming real! Keen to join the meet up in September.
  11. Crikey, the range is incredible. If anyone else has any insight that would be much appreciated
  12. Hello, As many others on the forum I'm looking to have some fitted furniture made - alcove units, wardrobes and a loft wardrobe in the sloping roof part. I've had a couple of quotes but they seem incredibly pricey in my opinion. If there is anyone who has had these made recently, would you mind sharing how much your quotes were. I don't mind paying for quality items, but want to ensure I'm not being ripped off. Many thanks
  13. We used sterling landscapes who supplied and fitted easigrass for us, as like you, our garden was too small for easigrass to consider. He was very reasonably priced and came back when we weren't happy with a little patch. Had it installed a couple of months ago and still looks perfect. http://sterlinglandscapes.co.uk
  14. Pellatt road party is in full swing with do and bouncy castle. Come on down!
  15. For a while my garden has had hundreds of these spiders. When we bought the house you could step in the garden without scaring scores of them away. When we dug everything out and replaced the paving etc they seemed to disappear for a while but now they're back with a vengeance. Any idea how to limit their numbers? I've just counted 20 in my lawn alone!
  16. Should probably have mentioned I'm paying ?10 p/h
  17. I'm having a housewarming party on Monday and need a waiter/waitress to just keep drinks and nibbles topped up. It's from around 1pm just off lordship lane. Let me know if you're interested.
  18. Hello, I have an old cordless Dyson that has been dead for about a year. Does anyone know anyone/where which can tinker around with it to make it work again? Thanks
  19. We used benchmark. Not all that impressed, there is a massive problem with a window and Tom is ignoring our calls. Happy to tell you more if you fancy.
  20. You could have a look at some of these perhaps? http://theliteracytree.co.uk/media/downloads/Illustrated%20Early%20Novels%20List.pdf

  24. Hello, I am a primary teacher with many years tutoring experience. I have a couple of spaces opened up in my schedule for new students. I am based in East Dulwich and am not affiliated with any agencies (which means my fees are typically lower). Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would like to meet me for a coffee to have a chat. I look forward to hearing from you, Andrea
