We just came back from Badgell's Wood in Kent. It was great and loads of trees. took us 45 minutes to drive back!

First child - not so good as I was told I wasn't in labour - but when I finally got on maternity ward it was good. However number two was AMAZING. We were in the midwife led unit which only opened December 2013 and they were like a hotel. Lovely water birth and they have double bed. Couldn't recommend it highly enough if the birth is low risk.

Hi there, Just a reminder that if your child is starting prep school (or moving out of the borough)in September and you were offered a school place by Southwark, please could you reject the place to Southwark even though it after the deadline to do so? It helps those (myself included) whose children are currently on waiting lists for Southwark schools to be able to prepare their children for where they will actually be going to school - I only mention it as our preferred schools have told us that often they don't know how many children they actually will have until the first day of school, because placed aren't rejected.
