I just wanted to second this recommendation for Jo Pardue. Jo has recently tended to our post-winter overgrown garden, and it now looks amazing and is ready for some warm and sunny weather. Punctual, hardworking, considerate, knowledgeable etc etc. We will be asking her back soon. See original post for Jo?s contact details.

For anyone interested. I read a sign today saying the launderette has ceased to trade after 30 years in business. All best wishes to the ladies who worked there, if you're reading ....

Thank you, I do need one!

Does anyone know what is happening with the launderette nr William Rose /the old Irish shop? I've tried to visit a few times in last week or so and it's always closed. Has it shut down? I hope not. Lovely helpful ladies who always provided a sterlinrg service wash. Thx

Have just had Nick come to fix a problem with my gutter - professional, efficient, friendly and job done! Highly recommend based on my experience. I found his number on the Internet - 07966 285679.

Sorry - didn't pay any attention to exact date of original post. Still, hoping it is all legitimate. -

Just had the same family round our street - plausible, polite, friendly... My hunch is they are genuine. Like the original poster, I would be very surprised if the whole thing is a scam. -
i have mostly had no signal today. t-mobile. assumed due to bad weather and hope the situation improves.

we too are a short distance from LL and we too are awaiting the delivery of parcels and large letters that should have long since arrived. amazon just reported to us that they would resend an item first class, from which i assumed they would be using royal mail - fingers crossed they wont! we are now giving up on internet shopping due to the pain of waiting for deliveries in this area.

Dulwich Park Children's Playground Incident
pinz replied to Angel Delite's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
told a mum friend of mine about this thread yesterday morning and would you believe, she saw this boy yesterday afternoon after school hours. she was with her young son. again, dul park, school boy dropped his trousers in front of her whilst looking at her. she confronted him and gave chase but he got away. police attended the park and it appears they are taking this seriously. again, incident took place near to play area. -
thanks to all for the responses. much appreciated. sorry - yes, i did see a sample book. cant remember the title but it was about a sacked manageress and someone called adele - memory like a sieve nowadays. the pitch went along the lines that the woman had insufficient funds to get her book printed in volume. am still hopeful i have aided an enterprising type, but my head (now) tells me i was probably "had". hey ho. thanks again all.
