Brixton Recreation Centre has one.

I agree with Cora. A very nonchalant response from Sainsburys management.

Thanks for this mashcov and the daily mail online.
-
Not sure if there's anywhere in ED but there's a shop in Half Moon Lane that sells everything - Duo Dance.

Welcome to the EDF Andrew and thanks for making us aware of what happened to your bike. It could have happened to a lot more cyclists at Sainsburys, so it's a valid post. Sainsburys should get their CCTV situation sorted out.

I am in North Dulwich and we have a lot of burglaries going on here during the past 2 years or so. The last two were on Thursday 7th Feb between 1pm-6pm. One was an elderly neighbour of mine (hes 80 plus) and smashed his back kitchen window and only took his laptop which he relied upon. The other one was a 2 minute walk away where a blood stained tea-towel was left (prob wrapped around their wound) but hopefully the Police can get DNA?
There is usually no Police presence in our area but on Sunday afternoon I noticed a lone Policeman walking around.

Look forward to seeing what materialises with your search!

Oh well, bang goes something I sent to her recently if she's due to run for LM!

Can't seem to find something I put on the for sale section last night - a moving fish lamp/light?
I've had 3 pms, the first person didn't show today so will be contacting the next one but can't find the original post.
Thanks.

Yes I've heard this and probably explains long waits (sometimes) at DH. My Mum usually goes to King's and she is seen very quickly at the clinic. Although in some departments their blood taking isn't that good.
If you have to have blood taken on a regular basis it can make you very apprehensive every time you go, especially if you have a bad experience.

I've been to ED Hospital a couple of times with my Mum and Dad and waited over an hour and a half.

Just wanted to say that last December, MothersInc offered a prize on my tombola stall for a table sale I'm organising.
The prize is a 30 minute facial and head massage.
Thank you MothersInc!

If you mean the Southwark Community Wardens, I've not seen one of them in my area for at least a year.

You've got a point there Huggers But how did they know he had a bus pass? Did they ask him to empty his pockets? If so then they probably were just after everything they could get their hands on. Makes me so mad. How did your son get home in the end?
-
Hope your son is ok. That's the third mugging/attack I've heard about within the past few days, one being another youngster mugged on the way to school in North Dulwich. Think it's one of those crimes that's so common now that the perpetrators just don't care about the consequences as they know they will prob just get a fine!
I think if muggers are caught with a stolen bus pass they should at least get community service.

Looks like Chillaxed has been through the mill with trying to get her child to sleep, but I admit to half these things, including giving tea instead of milk for a while, when he was a toddler. Although I wouldn't resort to sleeping on the floor!
Then again husband was seen pushing a buggy around the local estate to get son asleep at midnight.

Wow WorkingMummy, I think SuperManny was only trying to help!

Hope you get you're water back on soon! Especially in this weather.

Also had a text tonight from The Charter saying school will be closed tomorrow, except for pupils taking external exams.
The school have always been really good at keeping parents informed and I'm glad I know now rather than having to check stuff early tomorrow.
-
pkpickles has already said in her first post how this person tried to attack the local newsagents yesterday morning and then somebody else saw him near the local school at 9am.
He may well be homeless etc. but surely somebody has to keep a check on him, including the police?
-
I was doing nothing of the sort DJ - you must have misread my post.

There's no argument. Who's talking about extra fire stations? Didn't know there were any.
I'm sure I read that Westminster Fire Station will be one of the first going in the cutbacks.
What if there was an emergency there?
-
Thanks for your post and alerting us to this person!
Seems like the police get to know these people but how are we supposed to know?
Same thing happened to my Mum and sister in Morrisons at Camberwell last week. Not saying it was the same person but the whole store was on high alert and it was a frightening situation for a lot of people and this person was very frightening.
The police escorted this person outside Morrisons without any restraint and then just let him go on his way.
-
Whether he was an experienced pilot or not, I'm thinking of his poor family right now. Also what thoughts were going through his mind as he realised what was happening? We will never know.
Boris Johnson praising the emergency services is good but he's just made plans for closing 12 fire stations hasn't he?
This terrible accident might be a wake-up call for the need for emergency services in London.
Summer?
