  1. The Windrush Tri Aquathlon is the annual local event put on by the voluntary members of the Windrush Triathlon Club, in the beautiful surroundings of Brockwell Lido and Park in Brixton. Windrush Triathlon Club are hosting their annual Aquathlon at Brockwell Park on Sunday 16th July between 08:00 – 10:30. https://windrushtri.co.uk/aquathlon This will be the 12th year of the event where the ethos continues to be an accessible and inclusive event for all ages, races, genders and physical abilities. This year is also the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the first of the Windrush Generation in the UK and we are particularly keen to welcome newcomers to the event to celebrate the diversity of our local communities and further afield. 2. I am looking for someone to help build a breakfast bar / high table! I have all the materials (wood, biscuit joints) but not the tools! I need someone to cut the wood down to size for me and then join it together. It's not a complex design - just 4 bits of wood that will form it (two panels on each side, one panel across the middle between the two sides, and the worktop to go on top of them). thanks!
  3. Does anyone have one that they would lend / rent out for the day? or come and quickly help me do it?!
  4. Dave is absolutely wonderful!! He is so quick to respond and turns up exactly when he says he will! He did some bits around the house for me, but also was so responsive when I had a problem with a leak under my bath caused by a previous plumber. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave and will definitely be calling on him in the future. He is reasonably priced, respectful and does an excellent job - even when having to rescue someone else's mess!
  5. I have a big french door and need a blind fitting in the recess.... having trouble doing it myself.
  6. For anyone who needs a bit of help with childcare, am happy to offer a few hours a day after my working day is finished (around 4pm). Happy to provide a bit more info about myself via PM! Or if you can't get out and need dog walking, happy to help! Based in Herne Hill, but have a car.
  7. Mila's bread was lovely, and I really liked the seeds in it, good flavour and nice texture. The crackers also had a lovely flavour and were really nice alone and with some chutney, they were just slightly crunchy for me!
  8. Would you like to contribute to scientific research? I'm a local to East Dulwich and a PhD student at King's College London, and have just begun an online survey study as part of my research that aims to better understand the impact of mind wandering and the extent to which it affects peoples? lives. Further details of the survey are below and the full Information Sheet is attached and can be accessed by clicking on the survey link. Anyone over the age of 16 years can complete it, and it takes around 10 - 15 minutes. Complete our online survey to help us understand the relationship between Creativity, Occupation, Mind wandering, and Education (COME-on!!) We would like to invite you to complete an online survey investigating if mind wandering can lead to differences in our experiences of education, occupation, and creativity. Everyone?s mind wanders, but we all do it to a different degree, so what is its impact? For some it may be useful and lead to creativity or working in a certain profession. For others it may have a negative effect, perhaps making it difficult to learn at school. Severe mind wandering that just won?t seem to stop and feels uncontrollable could also be associated with disorders such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). By exploring the relationship between these things we can better understand the impact of mind wandering and the extent to which it affects peoples? lives. There is also the chance to win one of five ?50 Amazon vouchers when you complete the survey. Full information for this study can be found at the link below which will also take you to the full survey. If you would like to be e-mailed the information sheet, please use the contact details below. To complete the survey, please enter the following web address or click the link: [kcliop.eu.qualtrics.com] If you have any questions or require more information, please contact: Florence Mowlem E-mail: [email protected]
