Hi - Does anyone know when the proposed gym on Lordship Lane is opening...? I can't find the previous threads (probably being useless but I know I've read about a new gym physio place) but it doesn't look like much is happening? I need a new gym, preferably very close to my house to make me go!! Thanks

Hey Tom you clearly live on a better street than I (we?) do. Your service sounds amazing. My actual BIN disappeared last summer and despite phone calls and emails it took them 6 weeks to get us another one - they were out of stock! I nearly went and bought one in despair....smelly. Sure we can go to the recycling place or the dump, and we do, but when a doorstep service is apparently offered... I think we've all had different experiences that's all - and therefore have different views of how good Southwark are. No need to be rude!

As Louisiana says - we get loads of random stuff dumped not only in our bin but yesterday a large clear bin bag full of rubbish just appeared outside of our house. So I'm going get fined for this am I? Great. Blue bag always goes missing - am on about my third. I found one last week in the middle of the street so am currently using that one. Grr.

The ones that they describe as 'shopper' sound like they're more sturdy than 'carrier bag' - so get my vote! The coloured one's look good but is this not so green? Grr don't tell me about free bags when I was a complete fool and spent ?15 on a stupid cloth bag. Makes me feel an idiot and the bag is now ruined for me! Think of all the cakes I could have bought with that ?15.... Cross with self! Am such a sucker! (incidentally - anyone else got any low value high cost goods they want to peddle? I'm your ideal customer as long as it looks good...)

The cloth 'i love se22' one's are 100% cotton. I know that because I was looking for a made in china label, but that's all there was. Humph. ?15.

I bought one of those bags - i didn't realise how much it was till the last minute and then felt embarrassed so bought it anyway. Oops oh well must use it now. Or will I get laughed at like the not a plastic bag lady...?

Look - seriously - we just thought it would be fun to bake some cakes for the fair and have a bit of a presence so that people that don't use the forum will know that we are trying to set up a new group. I don't think we really have thought about actually coming out with a profit - it's not about that and we've not had a lot of time - if miraculously we do we will certainly check what we should do with the money. Really looking forward to a fun day. Bawdy nan - maybe we should have hooked up earlier and we could have helped bolster your cake coffers! x

hey ruth the blog looks really cool! Argh though have just realised 1st tuesday's aren't great for me - work cpd night that was cancelled this month. Maybe can try and change though if its good for everyone else. Can do the 13th prob from about 2pm onwards...and the mother in law is up next weekend so I'll get her to do cakes (less chance of poisoning general ED public!).

That's SCARY I go along the old canal path both on my bike and when running. Maybe daylight only from now...but actually no - I hate that things like that can make you stop doing things you enjoy. Summer Road is good alternative - end up at same place but bit more overlooked.
