Ta - it was watching them yesterday that got me thinking about it! Twas a wonderful Autumnal scene - all that was missing for me was the smell of deep heat. However, not sure I have the courage to sidle up to the players and ask if I can join in. The alternative I guess is to just start playing and see if anyone notices. . . .

I am looking for a kick-around on Sunday mornings - does anything like this exist in the area? - not formal Sunday league more "jumpers for goalposts"

A few pubs in ED show Six nations games and internationals, but otherwise the answer is no. The Magdala used to show Heineken cup games on Saturdays (and was also the best location to watch internationals), but football always took precedence on Sundays. However, the new owners have removed all screens (and generally feminised the place) so a subscription to Sky or joining a local rugby club are your best bets.
