Still on diversion as of 6.45pm. And 3x Conway vehicles parked up by all the roadworks signs at the top of Barry too.

I used a guy called Fahren from Pentland Building a few weeks ago to remove some garden rubble - it was stuff the council wouldn't take but he came the next day (!) and was pretty good value. His number is 07908679340

I've just had Ben in to do a small electrical job in my house, he was punctual, really nice and also tidy! Delighted to have found him tbh, so thought I would share. His number is 07737985595.

I had my purse stolen from my bag in the Plough last night. Done the usual thing of cancelling all cards, although she had already spent ?40 in costcutter with contactless. If you live in this area, please keep an eye out for a turquoise purse with various loyalty cards with my name on them - A Thompson. Would really appreciate it!!

We are also on CPR and on a hat trick of power cuts. Running out of candles :( Totally agree, does happen (even if before September 2015 we had only had 6 in 20 years) but three nights in a row needs sorting. Can anyone see any water board people working? The September power cut was because of the north cross road water works

Incident opp.the Horniman Museum-Sydenham Rise.A205 closed
trident replied to SebsC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Just walked past the Horniman from the wood vale bus stop down to FH station and as mentioned all buses and cars along there have been diverted but it is still open to pedestrians. Looks like a lorry, coming from the FH direction has tried to turn left into the tiny road alongside the triangle park opposite the Horniman. Didn't appear to be any damage on the side of the lorry but I could see but a body was lying on the ground, covered by a red ambulance blanket, with no one working on them, so I assume it's fatal, how awful :( -
Left Waterloo around 4.20 and got home a while ago, lots of buses still running - just like normal. Lots and lots of police in Elephant and Castle (at least 30, plus 5 vans) so they are definitely doing a good show of being visible etc. Almost all shops closed, boarded up if they don't have metal shutters/were already broken into.

serious accident on lordship lane (February 10)
trident replied to dimples's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I wasn't there when anything happened but I walked past and there was a grey car with a large dent on the bonnet, that was about 9.45 - they were just removing the police tape. -
School closures - fastest off the mark?
trident replied to silverfox's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sydenham High closed at 12.30pm, DC around the same sort of time -
Lots of Kingsdale kids get off the 363 at the Dome Hill Park stop in the morning, they cross the road and walk down the private road opposite the stop (I think called Rock Hill). I didn't know it was possible to get through there but it must be as so many people do it.

Lordship Lane Closed (again) 25th Oct
trident replied to KalamityKel's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's still closed this evening? (I saw an ambulance there this morning about 8am) -
Hi, I had a couple of friends who did foundation GCSEs, and if they achieved Cs they were offered the chance of resitting a higher exam in Jan. That's another possible route to discuss with the school?

Traffic Alert 18th June Lordship Lane
trident replied to cmck83's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The boy was awake when I happened to be there (at like 6), the paramedic was talking to him and she was writing stuff down and the police were trying to get in touch with his parents. But when the fullsize ambulance turned up they got a spinal board out :( It must've been terrifying for him - surrounded by paramedics, police and various concerned-looking bystanders. There was a lot of traffic due to people slowing down and having a look (at the ambulance car, ambulance, police van and police car), I really hope he's okay, he looked really scared :( -
It's all over the news, so I'm guessing the other schools will be aware of it. One of the children at Alleyns has siblings in several other schools in the vicinity, so presumably they'll have been notified.

Not for the Yr 12 and Yr 13s who have public exams in the next couple of weeks.

So is Somerfield's turning into Sainsbury's?
trident replied to James's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I heard that the Woolworths in Peckham/on Rye Lane is going to become an H&M... Don't know if that's true, but I hope so... -
Charter were when I left, although I didn't stick around 'til the end
