  1. It's still closed this evening? (I saw an ambulance there this morning about 8am)
  2. Hi, I had a couple of friends who did foundation GCSEs, and if they achieved Cs they were offered the chance of resitting a higher exam in Jan. That's another possible route to discuss with the school?
  3. The boy was awake when I happened to be there (at like 6), the paramedic was talking to him and she was writing stuff down and the police were trying to get in touch with his parents. But when the fullsize ambulance turned up they got a spinal board out :( It must've been terrifying for him - surrounded by paramedics, police and various concerned-looking bystanders. There was a lot of traffic due to people slowing down and having a look (at the ambulance car, ambulance, police van and police car), I really hope he's okay, he looked really scared :(
  4. It's all over the news, so I'm guessing the other schools will be aware of it. One of the children at Alleyns has siblings in several other schools in the vicinity, so presumably they'll have been notified.
  5. Not for the Yr 12 and Yr 13s who have public exams in the next couple of weeks.
  6. I heard that the Woolworths in Peckham/on Rye Lane is going to become an H&M... Don't know if that's true, but I hope so...
  7. Charter were when I left, although I didn't stick around 'til the end
  8. It was both actually. Every public school vs Charter.
  9. This is the only one I could find - I guess you could chop bits off on the computer and enlarge it to make it more legible.... http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/eastdulwich-2073.pdf
  10. Lets not forget some of the lovlier ones - the driver who said good morning to Speccylecci and the p.13 bus drivers are always really nice... [when they come] The 176/40 bus driver with dreds sang a song to my friend as well
  11. We had no one this year at all and I have to say I'm rather dissapointed - mind you, we do get all the sweets :)
  12. Totally agree with Izodia about the zebra crossings - for example whenever I cross the one between Dulwich Picture Gallery and Dulwich park, cars actually accelerate. Someone told me it's technically illegal to drive over zebra crossings as you have to always approach them at a speed at which you could stop, which made me laugh, although I'm not entirely sure whether it's true.
