  1. I'm also adding a recommend for Tony of TDR. He carried out some internal redecorating and restored a water-damaged bedroom ceiling, delivering high-quality work while fitting in with my requested timetable and wrapping up on schedule. He also fixed up for electrical work to be carried out, which was done efficiently by his colleague Tom.
  2. Froglander - yes, we're thinking of doing this. Any recommendations for good, lightweight trackers?
  3. Update: Cheetah has been found. He was crying/yowling near Goodrich School (quite a way from Fellbrigg!) and some very kind people at the school took him in and looked after him until I got there. Many thanks to them.
  4. Our large, darkish tabby cat Cheetah (who went missing for 8 weeks this very time last year) hasn't been seen since Sunday 1st Sept late afternoon. He lives in Fellbrigg Road. He's wearing a blue collar and is vocal and friendly. Since he was found last time (in Henslowe Road) he has never been away from home for more than an hour at a time, so this is unusual. Please check sheds or locked places, and contact us if you've seen him. Many thanks. Tel: 07788 414791.
  5. I'm posting here to say that we're very impressed with Gardenia's work for us on a recent project, in which they replaced a wooden deck, built a raised bed, removed a brick outhouse and installed a cobbled patio among other things. All of Helen and Steve's team were a pleasure to have on site, gave advice where it was needed and coped with a few changing requirements that cropped up as the job progressed. The end result looks great - we'd have no hesitation recommending them. Www.gardenia-gardens.com

  7. This is an unsolicited recommendation for David Santos, who's coached me at Dulwich Leisure Centre, assessed my needs and capabilities, and formulated a training plan to help me maintain fitness and build strength. David is a great trainer and motivator, he can sum up and communicate what a client needs, and has introduced me to elements of weight training and resistance equipment that I wasn't familiar with. He'll also consider diet and make suggestions on how to modify what you eat to meet your goals. Finally he's a really nice guy with a lot of patience and is fun to train with, and I credit spending time with David for reigniting my interest in working out regularly. His contact number is 07917 332234
  8. Love it! Food, drinks, the welcome and the service were all wonderful. Particularly good were the chorizo in cider and the Santiago tart. Look forward to spending many an hour here. Best of luck, Maria & Co!
  9. Thanks all! Tomskip - that's a bittersweet story. Sometimess cats give us the distinct sense we don't own them, they just live with us for their convenience!
  10. Thanks Turtle! He was on the far side of Barry Rd from where we live, about 10-12 minutes walk from our house. As for where he's been, he's keeping that to himself! He certainly looks healthy, so he's evidently capable of getting fed when he's away from home, the canny lad!
  11. Amazingly, Cheetah is home after eight weeks and one day. We are over the moon. He's just had a slap-up meal and a few licks from his brother who, like us, is trying to work out where he's been. Thanks so much to the eagle-eyed spotter who sent us photos tonight. We went straight round, saw him, called his name and he came running. At last we can take all the posters down! Thanks a million also to the dozens and dozens of people who have reported sightings or just sent good wishes. Community power! Adrian and Jacqui.
  12. Please continue to keep an eye out for Cheetah in case the heavy rain overnight drives him to beg at your door for a warm place to shelter or something to eat!
  13. Thanks Gerty! We're keeping an open mind about whether Cheetah's been in that area, and have been asking around. Some of your neighbours on Oakhurst reported a tabby to us, but when we went to check for ourselves it wasn't our cat. Still worth keeping an eye out though - appreciate your info!

  15. Our big tabby cat Cheetah has been missing from Fellbrigg Road, East Dulwich since 22 September. He could be close (maybe chased out of his territory and lost) or he could have strayed further afield by now. Typically he's a friendly and confident cat so he may not come across as a distressed stray (although after three weeks away from home his behaviour might have changed). We miss him. Please contact us with any information at all ? for instance, could he be being fed by someone near you? Obviously, if you find an injured or deceased tabby which could be Cheetah, please don't be afraid to get in touch. Many thanks to everyone who has contacted us so far. 16. Thanks Denfra - can't be definite from the pics, but if they're saying the cat seems young and small, that makes me doubt it's Cheetah (it'd be hard to describe him as small!)
  17. Here is a clearer photo of Cheetah. Two weeks missing, but he could still be out there lost in East Dulwich. Any info at all, please call one of the numbers in original post. Many thanks. http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u434/213cavendish/Cheets_zpsnejvjatp.jpg

  19. Thanks Fly, for the info on the Crescent Wood Rd cat. The mark on the abdomen doesn't ring any bells with regard to Cheetah - but any photo you manage to get would be appreciated, and might help us rule this cat out.
  20. Cella - thank you for getting in touch.. Cheetah certainly had a tail when he left home, so I think (and hope) your tailless cat is probably a different one! All the same, if you see it again and get a chance to grab a picture, please do.
  21. Missing for 12 days so far. A few possible sightings, but we're still searching, so all information anyone can offer about Cheetah's possible whereabouts will be gratefully received!
  22. Thanks to everyone offering to look for Cheetah, really appreciated! He's still out there somewhere, nine days missing so far.
  23. Cheetah is still missing from Fellbrigg Road, he's been gone since Sat 22 September ? he was last seen on that evening looking lost and miaowing near Lacon Road and outside Pitstop Garage. It was the night of the deluging rain so he may have taken shelter and become trapped. Equally he could be anywhere by now. PLEASE check your gardens, garages, sheds, renovations etc. and keep an eye open across East Dulwich in case you spot him - he's normally friendly. (Re earlier posts: The injured cat that was seen in Crystal Palace Rd appears not to be Cheetah, but another cat whose owner is still searching for him.) Please let us know if you have any information: Adrian 07788 414791, Jacqui 07958 509564. Thank you!
  24. All info gratefully received, please call either of the numbers in original post above.
