Nevertheless, their website still says: "Peckham West (PW), the new CPZ in Peckham that started on 30 March 2020 will have an extended period of warning notices. Warning notices will be issued to vehicles parking on double yellow lines for two weeks from Monday 30 March, and vehicles parked in permit bays without a permit will be issued warning notices for a period of four weeks. Residents are asked to ensure that they have a valid permit for their vehicle from the live date to ensure they do not receive a fine."

Please check for a typo in the url or go to the Southwark council home page." Does it mean they will be issuing fines as it is not in writing within their website?
  6. People are having garden parties as if nothing to do with them...
  7. Very soon we will have a full lockdown (we will be lucky if tomorrow is not our last day), no exercise allowed, thanks to a few people that are thinking about enjoying long paid holidays...
  8. I left Sainsbury's at 11.30ish and there were eggs (also last week when I was there). Also plenty of toilet rolls...

Thanks Southwark Council to add extra expenses at a time when many people are struggling to pay bills with no work...(What can the council do to make things easier during COVID-19?)
  10. I went a couple of days ago around 3.30 pm. Happy to see a queu keeping the safety distance. Once inside plenty of space, but some people not keeping the distance...I was looking at an item, turned around and there were 4 people surrounding me!!! Personally, I will wait as much as I can to return...hopefully there is less panic buying by then...
  11. As English is not my first language, I do find the sentence "Peckham West (PW) New parking zone in Peckham is due to start on 30 March 2020 will have an extended period of warning notices" rather ambiguous. Could someone help with translation? -Is the Peckham West CPZ starting on Monday or not? I assume "yes", hence not postponed and an extra expense in a moment that many of us have a reduced or zero income. -What does it mean "will have an extended period of warning notices"? how long is the warning notice for before a fine is issued?
  12. Many thanks for the information dc! One thing to remove from the list of worries at the moment
  13. Hi James, As per your message on the 24th of March, I wonder if you had received an update from the council? (re: "R U IN ED - I agree. We need as much stability as possible for the moment. I have pushed for the East Dulwich CPZ to be postponed and Cllr Livingstone is looking into it. I will let you know.") Tomorrow is the last working day before the CPZ goes live on Monday 30th of March. Many thanks for your time.
  14. Mrs D's advise would be the best, but I'm happy to help too. All the best
