  1. Buy!! you wont find a better run purpose built apartment block in East Dulwich...
  2. Does anyone know anything about what looks like a burnt-out London cab , in Donkey Alley?
  3. Hi James Doesn't suprise me either, I've been going to Forest Hill Road Group Practice and they are about as friendly as a nest of vipers having just been poked with a big stick ....It's all very well changing the names of these various clinics and printing wonderful propganda booklets telling us how great they are and how often they hit targets... but all we need is a surgery that can answer phones and know what they are talking about when they do. I read in the local paper that doctors where getting better... well they should really as they don't have to wait days to see one !!
  4. yep I agree trafiic wardens are Bast***s I received a PCN for 4 minutes whilst my plumbers van was parked in the loading bay opp Bells Plumbers just off Lordship Lane while I was loading a new hot water cylinder... even though the bay is for loading and you are entitled to 40mins.. explain that one to me someone..
  5. I agree that the Southwark wardens are rather over zealous, I received a PCN for parking in the loading bay opp Bells plumbers ...and I was loading and allowed 40mins acording to the sign, I have had one appeal turned down as I was told that there is a "high demand for parking and loading spaces in the bourough and therefore it is necessary to have tight controls on parking and no loading to ensure that spaces are available to as many moterists as possible" work that one out..loading in a loading area and still ticketed. I,m a local plumber with a sign written van outside a plumbers merchant in a loading bay and they cliam that they cannot fully consider my case, Oh by the way the ticket was for 4 minutes!! I shall keep challanging the PCN and see what happens Happy Daze

  9. I know it's not ED but ...does anyone know what the smoke around parliment square area was all about? It started about 2pm and has died down now.
  10. I don't mind where you page these streams...but if you are looking for a plumber maybe I can help. jhowardplumbing on 020 8299 3919 or 07710 124840. I live and work in the Dulwich area and would be pleased to hear from you. John
  11. the biggest cost eliment was to secure and stabilise the ground, it suffered badly from subsidence and costs went sky high ...mr developer tried to get his money back with sky high property price... Greed eh
  12. I'd stay well away from those flats you speak of, watched them go up, very shodder and cheaply fitted out, the developer wanted to jump on the band wagon and sell high for a low standard property. Tried to cram as many in as possible and has now been sitting empty for over 18 months.... wouldn't fancy the basement flats, but the top floor has nice views over the 'dead center' of East Dulwich. When they were first built they wanted ?350,000 for them, and if you are really interested I'd go in at well below ?200,000.
