  1. Burrow Road! There's one half way down and one right at the end opposite the block of flats.
  2. Shopping accomplished! The staff were great, queues were short and moved fairly quickly. I can see why the restriction on numbers is necessary - you wouldn't want any more customers, than there were. I was anticipating it being a stressful experience like the weeks before the lockdown began, but not the case at all! Thank you for tips and advice x
  3. Hope this isn't too silly a question, but I haven't been to Sainsburys since the lockdown began. I've been using corner shops but I'm finding most of them too crowded now. What is the etiquette for queuing? Do we pick up a trolley first or wait till we get to the entrance? Are there still restrictions on what we can buy?
  4. There was plenty of fruit and veg an hour ago.
  5. Actually, it was a fairly large group of Charter kids. Looked like year 10's. I was going to get a coffee but they were so lary in Starbucks,I left.
  6. I didn't get very far. Although the signage shows the building belongs to Notting Hill Genesis, their customer service department, who I spoke with early on Monday, could find no record of the building and suggested I call Folio on 0203 815 0484. I assume this is a corporate element of the association but I never got to call them and check it out as I had to be in class by that time. When I got home, the ringing had stopped. Please let us know if you find out anything more...
  7. Oh my goodness!it's been driving me mad. It's coming from the housing association flats. Some kind of boiler or plant room. I'm going to email them today as I can't call from work. Please call them as well. It's just constant - day and night!
  8. Really! It's true. They were in the East Dulwich cafe having breakfast when I was there Sunday...
  9. That's such a shame. Youre right, the roads here are quiet and there's no need to drive recklessly.
  10. They were very honest with me after I had wasted a lot of money needlessly prolonging the life of a very poorly animal with another veterinary practice. So although they may be pricey, they don't overcharge. They were also really kind and supportive.

I'm aiming to get one last Kevin Bacon there > soon! Noooo! That's heartbreaking news. It's my favourite of all the coffee shops around. And the coconut toast is to good for words. :(
  12. There are often no trains from East Dulwich at the weekend. The 40 is a necessary route. It should not be changed.
  13. Oops. Just been informed it's a cockatiel not a parrot...
  14. Sorry. Problems with photos, phone and forum....
  15. Spotted this little fella on Peckham rye common this after noon...
  16. It's true that sometimes teenagers are vile but I thought this was about adults that did not help or support the O.P. I'm very glad you did intervene JDR. Several years ago my daughter was attacked by a group if girls outside the station and not one adult stopped to help her.
  17. I think it's interesting that I see tonnes of pied wagtails in Deptford but I've never see one in East Dulwich or Peckham. Bird populations are clearly well confined. .
  18. Sweet chilli chicken enchiladas. Copied from a pub menu in Poole. We only ever make them with quorn!
  19. Do they still do coffee at the bar? I can never afford to eat there but the coffee used to be excellent and a bit of a Saturday treat...
  20. The dyslexia unit at Deptford Green is essentially defunct. It is currently without a manager and also changing over to ASD provision....
  21. Same at the Cherry Tree. Place can be almost empty but still you have to shout a conversation across the table. ..

I agree. I have been assured by Chris that events like this won't go ahead again but the situation yesterday was NOT dealt with and nothing was actually done to address it - they just let it play out. It should also be noted that this was the third weekend of noise, it was just much much worse this weekend a. Because as pointed out, it was raining last weekend and b. As the weeks have gone on, the event has been drumming up more interest
  23. I've also emailed the noise team. Suggest everyone who has had their day ruined do the same as I was told they are due back next weekend...
  24. I was told by the minders, earlier that the event would finish at 8.00pm and the council said to ring back if they didn't finish at that time.
  25. ...also the flyer says 2-8pm but it started at 12 midday. I'm pretty sure they don't have access to the club house unless they come out of the astro turf and walk round to the club and there are no toilets unless they've got port a loos...
