One Tree Hill Choir (formerly Fairlawn Singers) is starting the summer term on Tuesday 30th April. We rehearse each week at St Augustine?s Church, One Tree Hill from 19.30 to 21.00. No auditions - we?re open to anyone who enjoys singing. Come along and see if it?s for you! Small fee if you decide to sign up for the term. Next gig is at Nunhead Cemetery Open Day in May.

She came to my house in Hillcourt Road last night around 7pm. Was in the middle of dinner so I simply said it was not a good time and she turned away without a word and looking very grumpy! Left a pretty bad impression of the Red Cross so I was suspicious.

My 15 year old son was mugged for his phone last night on his way home from school in Acacia Grove near Alleyn Park. Thankfully he?s not hurt. The police told us there were several similar incidents in that area last night. Please be careful if in that area and make sure you are not on your own especially when it?s getting dark.

Perhaps you already sing in a choir or play in an orchestra, but haven?t yet had a chance to try a solo? In the relaxed setting of a house in Herne Hill, amateur musicians and singers are invited to join professional cellist Kim Mackrell for an opportunity to perform solo in an informal living room concert. An accompanist will be provided for rehearsals on the day. Kim will offer as much advice and support as you like! There will be plenty of tea, cake and encouragement. The cost of taking part is ?40.
