Keeerrrrchinnnggggg" Wrong. You just dont understand what it means for an irish player to play for celtic.harry knew its what robbie always wanted and gave him his chance.
  2. Tony did not think much of the team Gordon left him with...... http://www.heraldscotland.com/polopoly_fs/7922152-1.1003131!image/2634967062.JPG_gen/derivatives/landscape_300/2634967062.JPG HIT LIST: Tony Mowbray has dispensed with 11 players from when this picture was taken in August

Have been trying my best to agree with you without putting down my own team. Step down for Robbie as he grows older but lots of bonuses for him, in playing for his team, his people, and who knows he might even stay and get champions league next year. So all in all, as steps down go, its comes with a lot of consolations.
  4. Its only a loan, so once he has scored two hatricks against Rangers and won the league, he will be worth a fortune again and you can have him back. Spurs fans can come and watch him at a big ground any time. All welcome.

I have the same problem with late drunk texts/posts on the forum - I have tried to hide the computer but unfortunately I always seem to find it, eventually. Although the forum has a nifty edit button that one can rely upon "the morning after", i think that's a bit of a coward's way out, so I grin and bear it.

Thats spot on Jimmy. Celtic could not afford a top Premiership player at his best, but I'm pleased that Robbie has decided to come before it really was too late. He may not be good enough for a top 4 prem player but I think Robbie has a lot to offer and has been badly affected by the Liverpool fiasco, but the absolute adoration he will receive at Celtic will reinvigorate him. I have always liked Robbie as an Irish player even before Spurs, he has been a great servant to Irish football and is a massive signing for Celtic. The biggest Premiership player to come to the club since Chris Sutton perhaps, with no disrespect to John Hartson or Neil Lennon (or as an afterthought Craig Bellamy)

  9. Most people in Ireland have an English team. Many have a Scottish team too. I agree you can only have one real team in your heart. For me that's Celtic, but for Robbie I can't comment. Lets see if he signs and kisses the badge...:) Its not so much an association with the Irish Community - Celtic originally was set up purely to benefit the Irish community in Glasgow, who were, guess what, not particularly welcome in Scotland Its official - Robbie has signed for Celtic Matt - get your money on Celtic for the title.
  10. no thanks
  11. Is it ok to pick the whole Ireland team Declan? Last year I called my team 'Croker Slammers'. A wee bit of genius at work there to be sure...

  13. Does the EDT remain the best place to watch the rugby? or are there other hidden gems out there? Anyone tried the Prince Albert? Does Hoopers only have one tv screen? Or a big screen?
  14. Celtic have bought all and sundry.
  15. Nobody to stop you watching sport full time either.

    The Irony!

Well Daisy, they do say "Mums Gone to Iceland" - so who knows where Iceland get their milk from..... Don't like warm milk myself though.
  21. Murray could end up with scotch egg on his face if he rolls over for the swiss tomorrow or, if he wins he could be minted.
  22. We were talking about people with no personality Bob - people with personality can rise above national issues and Boris was an exciting player and a had plenty of personality, he must have as the Beeb have employed him....

Although if you had said they got their coffee from Iceland you might be on to something. I doubt very much that they do.
  24. "To 'scotch' something means to roll it in sausage meat and breadcrumbs and deep fry it." There you go Declan - just backing you up that the word Scotch should not be used to descrbe Murray's nationality. I agree with you that he is not supported widely in England because he is Scottish - its nothing to do with his personality - England is a country that made heroes of Jonny Wilkinson and Nick Faldo - two great sportsman with not an ounce of personality - but becasue they were English they were idolised. Murray is not supported in the same way because he is Scottish. But it would be the same the other way round, the Scots would not support many English sportsmen in the same way as they would support their own. Surely that's just natural.
  25. Whatever could he mean?
