He has at least bought a "box player" in the January window. Might help convert some of the possession into goals.

You could apply that to Celtic too at the mo. Roobish. Mowbray has won fewer games than John Barnes did at this stage of season!
  4. Who?
  5. meaow... (thats a cat noise)
  6. Yes. Interesting to see how rafa repays the fans loyalty. But italian football would be suited to his cautious style. They like draws over there. Good luck to him if he goes, liverpool can look forward again.
  7. Uk?. Do you mean the All England Lawn Tennis Championships. They are in the Uk and they are open to foreigners so Murray can play.
  8. And the happy hammers lead. And Spurs too. Everybody happy.
  9. 'Raise your glass of cut price cava to celebrate the end of recession-before its too late. We can talk ourselves into despond or we can at least have a bit of a celebration'. Says tonights Standard. Lets try to be a bit more positive about the future. (ill have stella instead of cava.)
  10. I'd hate to be the bringer of bad news if this is how people react to "good" news.

No - I'm betting on them every year that there is a 1 in the year - 2010, 2011, 2012... I'm doubling my bet in 2011.
  13. Don't do this to me Hal. Noone told me the numbers were only draft. I have the party organised already.
  14. Come on Jah, you can take it. Anyway, I'm going to bet on Spurs for the FA Cup. There's a 1 in the year and they are the best team left bar Chelsea.
  15. Just for Quids: The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle is the second album by Bruce Springsteen and the as-yet-unnamed E Street Band, and is described by Allmusic as "one of the greatest albums in the history of rock & roll"

We are talking medals guys, not beer mats.
  18. and Steve McQueen - Prefab Sprout (Sorry I stopped buying albums in 1985)
  19. Songs from the Big Chair - that was a good one.
  20. Jeez the forum is in depressing mood today. Burns Night hangovers?

They just don't want to admit when they are wrong so they throw in a double dip warning. "Hedgers" I call them - (and there is no bigger insult than that)...
  22. HAL9000 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't want to pour cold water on Mick Mac's > parade but... > > IMF head in 'double-dip' global economy warning Double dip - great - some people did not even want this one to end.
  23. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's not realy over No - It really is - I read it. If we revert back into recession, that will be a new recession. But this one is over - defo - no more agruements now, please, I can't take any more.
  24. The economy is cyclical. Governments have tried to deal with this many times but its inevitable. Only growth will allow our companies to be successful and pay down the taxes that will help with the national debt, so its a step in the right direction.
