help! fine for parking in Tessa Jowell Centre!
siousxiesue replied to Huggers's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
When I had my first jab there, the first question asked by the volunteer/welcoming guy was 'Have you parked in the car park'? I think for this very reason. It needs to be exceptionally clear, it's a health centre. People are likely to be ill/stressed/distracted. -

DMC referral for vaccine at Tessa Jowell?
siousxiesue replied to midivydale's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I was fine, no booking reference is needed. My name was on the list held by the greeter, and was then confirmed by the first reception person. midivydale Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A family member has been booked by DMC to get > their vaccine at the tessa jowell centre. Sadly it was while dressed as a schoolgirl that I had my first experiences of harassment. The fact that it's second nature for us to do these 'protective' things is an indictment. Sorry to hear that Jan, hope you're ok. womanofdulwich Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I concur with savvy girl. A retrograde step by Hamas IMO https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/15/women-male-guardian-hamas-gaza-strip Single women will need a male guardian to travel.

Very open to abuse, those type of tills. You could ring up anything and it wasn't weighed so shoplifting probably increased.

A friend has received her census paperwork, along with mayoral campaign material from Shaun Bailey! Is this right? Seems unethical? Edited because another friend has reported the same. Hard to see how it's allowed.

Have to agree it's been a poor show so far..out of interest could you give the names/emails on here so we could all query policy? apbremer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have a son in Barnet who has been using his > local library on a "click and collect" basis for > many weeks. Save Our Shed ( Do the right thing Southwark )

Signed, good luck -
https://syrupmagazine.co.uk/Southwark-Today Syrup are embarking on a new project about the borough of Southwark and its people to be included in the new Southwark Heritage Centre and Walworth Library. The project will run throughout 2021 and will culminate in an exhibition expected to open at the end of the year. Through a programme of events and creative workshops, we want to make sure the people of Southwark have their experiences, voices and stories included in the local history of the borough. We are looking to connect with you, the people who live, work and play in the borough, and find out what Southwark means to you. We want to hear about your memories: perhaps they might be of moving to Southwark, growing up in the borough, working here, or even how the events of 2020 have affected you. This is a chance to contribute your stories to the history of your borough and to help build a resource for future generations. Please help us capture Southwark Today by answering a few questions.

Gail's - no masks on staff - how come?
siousxiesue replied to Dogkennelhillbilly's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'd suggest you avoid the crowds and buy from a small/indy business. Opposite Gail's is Romeo Jones, super place. Always felt safe using them and they are always masked up. We didn't tip as such (pre covid) but the woman who was the first port of call, who took the details and worked on having everything we wanted got a bunch of flowers a few weeks afterwards.

Thanks, this is reassuring. It's hard (not just for me) to suddenly lower the defence mechanisms that have been drummed into us on a daily basis. I'm hearing friends say the same. binkylilyput Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's everyone's choice whether to go outside or > not but (and I have posted it before) I found this > article reassuring. > > https://www.bbc.com/news/explainers-55680305 > > We are now conditioned into feeling anxious by the > presence of other people and it will take a while > for that to change
