Dawson's Heights Architectural Documents
markdanielallen replied to NHadfield's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi there, it might be worth reaching out to Stefi Orazi - she writes architecture books and walking tours for modernist architecture in London. https://www.instagram.com/stefiorazistudio/?hl=en-gb -
No, I was just talking about the corner with the Galleon on. I'm sure there are lots of worse issues, but I thought I would put something on this thread specifically to appeal to anyone who has involvement with it.

Alice, are you involved with the business at all? If not, to anyone who is involved, can we request a tidy up out front? I'm sure there's a reason for the huge delay / total downing of tools, so I don't want to be insensitive... But it's a real eye-sore, a magnet for fly-tipping and the temporary fencing seems to just be a licence to leave a mess on the high street. Happy to lend a hand if it can be a catalyst to getting the mess off the pavement.

Is there any update on this?

Don't Buy from John Bradshaw
markdanielallen replied to markdanielallen's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Glad that you had good experiences and perhaps if what he was trying to sell had been working in the first place mine might have been too. But unfortunately not. After numerous claims that he’d refund me or sort out the situation he still hasn’t. I gave him months and I’d still urge anyone to avoid buying off him. There have been a lot of excuses and a lot of delays but it’s now clear he’s never giving my money back for what he sold me, and given that it now appears the ‘working’ earbud of the pair doesn’t work properly it would surprise me if he didn’t know about the damage in the first place. -
This guy is a con man. I bought a pair of AirPods from him for £50, they appeared to be working and he seemed genuine so I was happy with the purchase. On closer inspection the left hand AirPod didn't work - one of the contacts inside the case was slightly bent meaning that it doesn't register as having been removed from the box. He was totally on the ball with being in contact prior to the sale and has totally ghosted me since. It's been over a week - hasn't replied on here / calls / whatsapp / text. Don't buy anything from him - I'm going to replicate this post on his other listings to make sure nobody has the same experience as me. In case he gets a new name on here, his number is 07960384528 If anyone here knows him please can they see if they can appeal to his better nature and ask him to refund me.

Hi all. We had a garden office broken into over the weekend. Our neighbours also had some damage and a bike theft too. I guess this post is 2 fold. Firstly, the - very helpful - Met Police told me this is happening a lot at the moment as more and more people are working in garden offices and people are generally at home. So thieves are targeting out buildings rather than houses. They didn?t really offer much guidance on what can be done to secure them, I suggested stronger locks / bolts, but they said then the thieves will smash windows. I?ve decided just not to leave anything remotely valuable in there anymore. Second, if anyone sees / hears of a second hand 27 inch iMac for sale locally, and it seems even slightly suspicious, please get in touch. Thanks.

Does anyone own a Thermomix?
markdanielallen replied to LV0210's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I'm just jumping in here because I'm on the lookout for a Vitamix and can't afford new! Do you use yours infrequently enough to consider selling it, or is it still something you want to keep hold of? :)
