My little boy(nearly 4) LOVES bad jelly the witch. It's one you'll need to read to him and/or get on cd, there aren't many pictures and the text is hand written by Spike Milligan.
Also dr Seuss books, hop on pop, the sneetches, the lorax...

I bf with the baby bjorn by adjusting the straps to be a bit lopsided when I needed to. A friend of mine bf with the ergo, which has a hood too so a bit more privacy.
Sling library sounds good, my sister borrowed a few before settling on the one that she liked, will ask her if she has details still

Minimum wage applies only to an employee. As a childminder is self employed, it does not apply. Consider too that a childminder will often look after more than one child so if they charge ?5 an hour, this is not necessarily all they will earn for that hour.
Food/petrol etc can be claimed back against tax as they are self employed.
I've met childminders who do charge for holidays and those who don't, though probably more who do!

And I am SURE she is not the oldest child around still in nappies :0)

My little boy was late-ish too, about 3 1/2 or just after when he seemed to just click and we haven't had many problems since then.
Funnily enough it was after a MAJOR accident where he was being looked after by a friend and kind of surrogate granny where he said he had had an accident (looked like wee) and my friend said to take off his trousers and pants and she would fetch the spares. It was also a poo accident and my little boy took off his clothes and put them on her cream sofa, spreading poo... Anyway my friend just went oh well let's put everything in the wash and get on with the day (i was at my wits end with the potty training so would have gotten over it but probably not been so calm) and I really think her reaction helped because after that he really has been so good.
So if you can, just chill. She'll get there and really, no one is a perfect parent so anyone commenting on her being still in nappies should really just shut it.

Feel much better :0)

When you've just had one of THOSE DAYS, how do you snap yourself out of it?
Nothing requiring medication (where's the wine...)

Lewisham for fruit and veges, sometimes you have to eat them pretty quickly but more often than not they're fine, good for things like little tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers(bowl of 6 or 7 of the long ones which I love for a pound), aaubergines, avocados, and watermelon in summer!
Used to find it a bit overwhelming if busy but now I plough on through the crowd

I have the exact same problem with my 20 month old. Hadn't thought maybe she wants to do it herself, will see if that helps. she seems to just not want clothes! Or pjs or socks or shoes or a coat... Or to go in the pram for that matter, and sleep? Puh, for babies...

Great, thanks :0)

Does anyone know, if you elect to go on a waiting list for a school that was higher up on your list and then get a place, do you still have the choice of whether to take the new place or stick with the original school you were allocated?
-
Righto, third choice! Stillness infants it is.

Have to wait until the post comes, argh!
Well at least the apprentice is on to distract me

Goodness me! I am in awe of your organisational skills...

I have a benefit benetint blusher which is liquid, super easy to put on then rub in, can put it on lips too, makes me look a little better than the death-warmed-up look I would otherwise have. Oh, and if I don't put my eyebrows on people ALWAYS comment on how tired I look.
Sorry cant help with clothes, it's always jeans and whichever top is clean!

Baby's first toy!

My brother in law has one of those! Think it would end up trashed after a week in my house, or lost...
-
Yes possibly, I'll see if she's asked them about it, thanks :)

Stitches were done well according to doc but there may have been grazes that were missed and have healed with the stitches, so in effect she has been stitched up too much! Needs re-cutting and stitching..:(
She has localised cream to apply apparently but I will suggest she discuss the bloods with whoever she is dealing with, thanks a lot for the links too Saffron

Op is for re-doing stitches following discovery at six week check that there was something not quite right

A friend needs to increase her Oestrogen levels prior to an operation, is already on oestrogen supplements but is worried that if she is still breast feeding when the call up for the op comes they'll refuse to do in on the grounds that it's success is unlikely if oestrogen levels are low
What to read to/with my son?

Yes please F!
I found the copy we have in a charity shop for 50p, unbelievable. The version is different to the one we had growing up though, in the original the witch screams 'stinky poo stinky poo knickers knickers knickers' when the children get away (sorry for the spoilers ;0) ) and when dinglemouse nibbles the giants belt so his trousers fall down he runs off to bare bottom land, not so now. But I change the words anyway :0)
