Anyone had luck with car insurance for au pair?
Billie72 replied to MollyE's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, I rang most insurers and most would not insure my 18 year old au pair. Direct Line will - be it was ?1500! I just had to pay it as I live in SE26 and my son needs to be taken to school in Dulwich. I was na?ve - it's apparently because you need to be a UK resident for at least a year to get 'normal' rates. The age doesn't help either! I might have to get an older au pair next time! -

Hi, we have an 18 year old au pair who joined us a few weeks ago. We are in SE26. She's looking to meet other au pairs locally. Please feel free to message me and I can pass on contact details! Thanks! -

My Mum is a Child Protection Social Worker and her advice is to use the 'proper' names because it means that if there is any abuse, the child uses the unambiguous term and there can never be any misunderstanding. Here is an article about it. It's all about safeguarding children. http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2013/04/the-case-for-teaching-kids-vagina-penis-and-vulva/274969/
