  1. I think i'd ask for a referral to a detitian. x http://www.dietitian.com/infants.html http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/agesandstages/children/yrtoddler/
  2. I think if you met on a Sunday with the kids, Mrs Keef and all the other Mrs EDFs would be very happy!!
  3. You could get a bubble machine, I suppose... or a tunnel for them to crawl through (or just some big cardboard boxes!)
  4. Well, at a first birthday party I'm not sure they need any entertainment at all.. just a soft floor and lots of wine for the gorwn ups, I'd say! Save your money and treat your missus to a spa day! x
  5. It's actually the Goose Green Centre
  6. Oh Heidi , how awful. But he's beautiful.xx
  7. I managed with my two 17m olds, who kept running off to stroke the stuffed fox.. split a very nice ?3 pasta and sausage dish betwene them and necked my own lunch at 11.30am in the cafe after then had a stroll to see the animals.. and they've both been asleep ever since. Result! I'm sure this will be a regular Weds haunt.. or a playgroup of some kind (All Saints?)
  8. I have twins in a side by side buggy. The museum ooens at 10.30, and the first busy bee sessions also starts at 10.30 so I guess it's straight in to that with no queuing... and a cup of tea after! See you there
  9. The hospice shop has quite a few baby clothes in..?

Yep!!!! And those children won't get a place at their second choice, under criteria 5, as the same thing probably happened there...

Siblings will be admitted, then they will offer places to people for who it is their nearest school, in ascending distance, until it is full...schools may never get as far as looking at criterion 5 at all.
  14. There has been a request on here for a woman's refuge...

There's no extra class at heber. it went to two fe last in 2008. Re the criteria, you are best to apply to your closest school as you may get in under criteria 4, no chance under criteria 5.
  16. excuse rubbish typing
  17. For twins, the best thing I have found, apart from the twins club, is the CP One o'clock club) open mornings as well as afternoon,s but not free) and when the weather is good, the P Rye one o'c club. Also sing and sign classes are very good, and charge you just for one place, if you have twins. Though the main venues (Goose green centre etc) are awkward to park and handle a double buggy unless you allow absolutely ages. Leapers at Rye Oak Primary is good too, they let you take your buggy up in the lft if you have twins. It's two mornings or afternoons a week (tues and Weds?) though parking is hard there as well. I actually manage swim lessons for mine, Dolphin swim school in Mictahm will provide an adult to take the second baby in, for a few quid on top of the class fee. There are quite a few places I have been and it's just been too difficult to manage twins unless I am with other adults.
  18. I think it's about 30 mins. There are two later sessions (but 10.30 best for us) Will be nice to meet up as I can't easily manage getting a cuppa or anything, when on my own with the two of them

Yes... you really have to apply to your closest school, to have a chance

  24. "The School Organisation Plan for 2009 will be published when it has been agreed. It is therefore exempt from disclosure under Section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ?Information intended for future publication?. We have not yet determined whether we hold any documents relating to discussions concerning a shortage of primary school places in SE22. We are continuing to search for such documents. I will be making further inquiries when the school term starts in the first full week of September, and will let you know the results. ... For Heber Primary School, the breakdown of children allocated under each criterion is: 1st. Looked after children - 0 2nd. Siblings - 23 3rd. Social/Medical - 0 4th. Distance under the 4th criterion - 37 5th. Distance under the 5th criterion - 0 Children with full statements of special educational needs - 0 The furthest child offered under the distance criteria lives 611 metres from the school. 4 siblings did not gain a place; this was because they applied late when all of the places had already been allocated."
