  1. I don't think a lack over enthudiasm for a spoon necessarily means much to be honest If you are worried about his grip, though, the gp can refer him to be assessed at sunshine house
  2. Eating with fingers is one way they enjoy their food, exploring the texture and temperature etc... I not think there should be a rush into fussing too much about cutlery, to be honest. Main thing is to enjoy eating as an enjoyable and social activity. A spoon is just a tool to assist with the practicalities of sloppy food!
  3. Not one of these, is it? http://www.analyticalarmadillo.co.uk/2012/07/yoomi-feeding-system-genius-or-germ-fest.html I have always found nuk latex (not silicone) teats are most acceptable to a breast fed bAby. If using powdered formula rather than expressed milk or a carton, care is needed re correct preparation which is the worry with this new 'yoomi' system if that is what you are looking at (not to mention the cost) Good luck!
  4. Bit late for us as my 4 yos start school in Sept, though always interested in activities for the holidays
  5. Interesting idea http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2012/jul/02/childbirth-website-virtual-buddies?mobile-redirect=false Before childbirth, how prepared did people feel, and where had the information come from?
  6. Have you seen?
  7. Try a size up, Suzy, and good quality stretchy ones, with some acrylic I find trousers for my girl are best, really, though she likes skirts
  8. CSS, that's brilliant!
  9. My latest has been managing it since about 12 mOnths ... The others it was much much later I put his success down to lots of watching other people, and having the best spoons (baby Bjorn deep round ones) with yoghurt or soup served in a small handled cup rather than a bowl I do think 2+ is pretty normal
  10. Crystal palace one o clock club is quite good for 3/4 year olds I thought it had shut but now i hear not
  11. This works for us so clean Uniform is usually to hand without me having a very dedicated washing regime!
  12. We have loads but mine frequently lose their sweatshirts and need clean stuff every day because they attract dirt Each child - 6 polo shirts, 6 trousers or skirts 6 sweatshirts or fleeces I get the sweatshirts second hand via the PTA
  13. Magic moments cr?che - ?10 a day 10-12 on mon, tues, thurs, fri, term time only They have spaces
  14. Lol convex, that's true :-) Though the twins see it as their buggy and keep trying to turf the picnic bag out of the (what I now regard as) the spare seat, or even worse, the baby out of the other It only works as a luggage carrier if the lazy little oiks are prepared to walk!
  15. The twins do fight physically Dint think either if them ever needs to fear being bullied They both give as good as they get!
  16. Sb: I was hoping you would pop up with buggy advice :-) Scurries off to look at buggy pics
  17. Could I get some advice too, please? We have passed on the trusty nipper double buggy that did our twins and the early days of our little one (now 2 x 4 yo, 1 x 18m) and have fallen back to the mclaren. However it isnt very nice to push, and we cant fit much luggage in it, along with the baby, let alone a picnic. For our holiday and in fact, this summer, I am wondering if we should look at something like a P&T... babies sleeping in one reclined always look so comfy, there is so much luggage space, and a second child can hop in if tired, cant they... though do they fold and fit easily in a car? Thoughts, please...
  18. We just watch videos and do drawing Depends on age of registered child?

  20. This is quite good http://www.askdrsears.com/topics/feeding-infants-toddlers/feeding-picky-eater-17-tips
  21. Many toddlers are really fussy, but the human race hasn't died out yet! The whole cooking/feeding thing is a bit of a microcosm of parenting I think... So much bound up in the whole process but at the end of the day, you can only offer the food, not force her to eat it. Good luck!
  22. I would give both of you a break from having major expectations of dinner time. Plan instead for 3-4 snacks between breakfast and bed time, and package them up in an interesting way. Have a teddy bears picnic. Try her with some cucumber sticks, mini sausages, grated cheese wtc on some toy plates, with her teddy. Lay out some foods in little bowls near where she is playing for her to try Hand her a sandwich when sheet into the buggy to leave the park That sort of thing
