  1. It wouldn?t happen to be this chap, would it? (The left)
  2. He?s missing again! :/ Has anyone seen him? We?d love him home before Christmas.
  3. He turned up literally screaming on the doorstep today lol. We?re not sure where he?s been but he?s lost quite a bit of weight BUT he is home and happy and won?t be leaving again any time soon!
  4. Our cat Marmite has decided to go walkabouts again. This time we haven?t seen him for almost a week and I?m now beginning to get concerned. He goes off for days on end quite frequently but not usually for this long. The last time he was missing he was found in the cemetery at the end of Hillcourt Road (the road he?s missing from) so I?m wondering if he could be somewhere close to there. He?s a big (not fat, but BIG, as seen in the attached picture. He is the one on the left) male cat who is neutered. Black and white and usually has a few scratches on his nose from his run ins with other tom cats. Aside from that he?s very friendly, responds to ?Marmite? and is quite vocal. If you?ve seen him/do see him please hold onto him and please contact me on 07914693059 and I?ll be right there to collect him. Thank you :(
  5. Oh that?s brilliant! I?ll definitely give the closest one a call when the cats are back. I?ll have to try to lock them in the pub while waiting for the ?scanangel? to arrive.
  6. Just an update: I?ve called a few vets who said they can?t come out to scan them but if I call the RSPCA next time I see them they should be able to help! :)
  7. It?s pretty hard to get them scanned when the only time I see them is when I?m on shift lol. I don?t finish work until gone midnight most nights. And again, also quite hard to make a place for the mama cat to give birth in the middle of a pub? but I?m sure if it came down to it she would be able to find somewhere to make herself comfy. Then again, I?m hoping to have found their home before that happens, somehow.
  8. We have two cats who are now frequently coming into our pub on Bellenden Road, and while we love the furry company we?re a little concerned they may be missing or homeless. They?re both extremely similar in looks, both white with ginger and black markings, one is young and slim and the other is pregnant! They hang around each other often which makes me think they?re either from the same household, or maybe mother and kitten. I?ve tried to attach some photos of the two of them but the site is telling me the files are too large and I?m not sure how to fix that. Please let me know if anyone knows anything or if they?re your kitties!
  9. We can accommodate you at The Prince Albert pub on Bellenden Road! :) Give us a call on 02077328106 from 12pm onwards or message me on here if you?re interested in hosting the party at our pub.
  10. I think he?s probably the same cat who frequents our pub on Bellenden Road. Thin, quite young, white with ginger stripes? He?s been around for ages and always in the garden but he?s started to come inside and even upstairs, too. Quite sad if he doesn?t have an owner. :(
  11. I work at The Prince Albert and didn?t have time to take it the night I posted this, certainly not after midnight when I finish my shift either. I thought it was better posting on here in the hopes someone would see it than doing nothing.
  12. Afraid to say someone has ripped open your parcel (two jumpers/hoodies) and thrown them along the road, obviously stolen, opened and not wanted. I?ve picked them up and they are in The Prince Albert pub on Bellenden Road if the people who ordered them want to claim them.
  13. I work at The Prince Albert on Bellenden Road and we don?t take bookings - walk in?s only! So anyone looking to watch the game should definitely try us. ;) We?re showing it on four screens - two inside and two in the garden.
  14. It said I didn?t have to self isolate, and I can provide a screenshot of the ?alert? I got if anyone else wants to get antsy about that. Not what I was asking at all. In fact, the question in my first sentence is ?How worried should I be?? considering I got the alert but neither my mum or dad did despite them being with me when I visited said venues. I have a test being delivered to me either today or tomorrow so I guess time will tell.
  15. I think the Herne Tavern still has a big play area! I used to love that place as a kid.
  16. How worried should I be? I?ve just had an alert on the track and trace app saying someone at a venue I?ve recently been in has tested positive for Covid and it?s sent me into quite a panic - yay hypochondria?!!! The only places I?ve been recently and checked into on the app are work, a pub and the theatre and at least with the latter two we were well away from other people and wearing a mask and regularly using hand sanitizer. It?s been five days since my birthday and I have no symptoms. Weird thing is my parents have checked into all three locations recently too and never got any notification on the app like I did. Help!!! :(
  17. It?s also been scientifically proven that wearing a mask doesn?t inhibit your oxygen levels whatsoever, so... I call BS on a certain post on this thread. Ahem.

That said... please please PLEASE tip your waiters/bar staff! Most of us are now working in crazy stressful situations on minimum wage. Doesn?t have to be a lot - that ?1 change you have in your pocket all adds up to us. :?)
  19. No excuse in my opinion. I have suffered with various mental health conditions including a panic and anxiety disorder since I was a teenager yet I still wear a mask regardless of how uncomfortable it can be. My opinion is that if you can?t wear a mask or downright refuse to, don?t go to a pub and put my customers, myself and my coworkers at risk.
  20. Your replies have made me gain some faith in humanity. Thank you all. :(
  21. If you?re so ill that you can?t wear a mask for ten seconds while you walk through the pub then you shouldn?t be drinking alcohol which is bad for your health anyway. I understand being exempt in shops and things you HAVE to do to survive but I have plenty of customers who are ill, breathing problems etc who can put a mask on for ten seconds. Also Just because you?re exempt doesn?t mean we should have to jeopardise our own health/having an outbreak in the pub cus you can?t put a mask on for a fraction of a minute. Sorry if that?s harsh but I?m so sick of this sh*t.
