  1. Latest projected opening date is early June but that's still not confirmed. Can someone remind me what date it closed?
  2. Ask your dentist if he can refer to Kings rather than DOC. For many treatments they sometimes want to wait until the child is a little older so wait for NHS treatment isn't necessarily an issue. If the dentist says you need to see DOC first then do that, but if they look as if they are steering you down the private only route ask the dentist to refer you to Kings. There is always the option of contacting Kings direct and asking them for advice on the process.
  3. From my experience of Dulwich Othrodontic Centre the standard policy seems to be: Do the assessment Tell you it will take ages to get treated on the NHS NHS funding is short You only get NHS funding for extreme cases not cosmetic treatment Why risk all the above when your child can start the treatment with them now? After chasing DOC with what had happened with applying for NHS funding they were very vague and reticent. We went back to our dentist who referred us to Kings. King's said it was outrageous that in the case of our child DOC could have suggest treatment could be considered cosmetic. Had absolutely first class treatment from King's for two children. I am not doubting DOC ability to treat, but our experience, and a couple of others I know is they will do everything they can to persuade you to go private and have no hesitation in suggesting treatment on the NHS is hard to get and will take a long time. Get your dentist to get you an appointment at King's and save yourself a few thousand pounds.
  4. I am a season ticket holder, happy to get you a couple of tickets at the ?15 price for the cup game v Stoke tomorrow
  5. Co-op to close on Friday for a 12 day refurb, new fridges, self-checkouts etc. Looks like they are trying to up their game. By the way the shelves are pretty bare at the moment but still the same old queues at the checkout.
  6. Herne Hill and Denmark Hill both have direct trains to Bromley South and to West Hampstead Thameslink and means you don't need to get the tube.

England were as expected, dull and unadventurous, but played the way they had to. If they had opened up - like they did against Germany - they would have got beaten. I am hoping to see slow improvement each game and at least Roy has got us organised. How many times have you watched England before and not really known what the team and the players were trying to do? The hope is Rooney adds the strardust and links well with Young and Welbeck.
  8. And in today's other news a dog chased a cat.
  9. I think Rogers is a good choice for Liverpool even if it comes with a bit of risk. He should be able to do what any good coach can, that is get get more out of the players and the team. If Liverpool had gone for a big name you can be sure they would have wanted guarantees of money to spend and am not sure Liverpool have that luxury. Not sure if Carroll will fit into the Rogers way though, a decent Euros and maybe he will be sold to fund other purchases.
  10. Wow, live art in East Dulwich. Stik had an audience of 50 or overspilling into the road as he created his latest masterpiece on a garage door on Beauval Road. Live street art with groupies and an M&S, East Dulwich est arrive.
  11. A shame to see so many of the same old faces in the squad but not really many better players to put in. The problem is Wilshere, Cleverley and maybe Rodwell were all injured so you have to stick with Gerrard, Barry, Lampard, hope Gerrard's form improves. Could have had Sturridge in the squad rather than Downing and maybe Carrick rather than Barry. Crouch has never done it against the top teams, so Carroll is the best alternative. Other than Rio v Terry I don't think there is much else to debate. Richards looks great but a few managers, including Mancini, seem to have their reservations. Shame Harry didn't get the job but perhaps long term Hodgson is the better bet for English football.
  12. Sad news, apparently a woman's body was found in Cox'S Walk this morning.
  13. Well done Chelsea, great performance to see out that game after Terry once again proved what an idiot he can be. Poor tactics from Barcelona, as Hoddle said afterwards they should have been looking to go much wider and have overlapping runs. Outrageous dive from Fabregas, no contact at all and right in front of the 5th official who did nothing. Pleased for Torres after all the grief he has had. Geoff Shreeves, what an interview, couldn't believe his question, well done Ivanovic for not reacting.
  14. Maybe I'm wrong on West Ham fans, guess that's the danger of thinking callers to 606 are typical fans. Paulo would be interesting and has done well but would be a huge risk, one year doing well in Div 2, especially with someone so volatile, is nowhere near enough to prove someone as a good manager. If he can repeat the success next year and keep his temper in check then it would be worth looking at him.
  15. Delighted that Reading are going up, they have played good football for the last couple of years and McDermott seems a lovely bloke. Southampton deserve the other place after being in the top two all season, next time you see Nigel Adkins interviewed though just think "David Brent", and see if it rings any bells. Not sure they will do as well as Swansea or Norwich but they both have owners with deeper pockets. For the play offs I would love West Ham to fail because of the arrogance of BFS and many West Ham fans who just seem to think its beneath them to be playing in the championship. Don't want Birmingham to go up either, spending money they haven't got. Would be good to see Blackpool go up again, not overspending and they play decent football, although not too sure about the owners. Actually its quite sad to look through the league and see just how many clubs have huge debts and/or dubious owners. With Charlton and perhaps the two Sheffield's coming up next season should be good. On reflection maybe West Ham should go up, they are bound to take one of the promotion places next year if they don't go up this time.
